No such thing as free shipping. That will be factored into the product price meaning anyone outside the States will, effectively, be paying twice.
Don't even understand why they would offer that incentive given the praise and popularity this proto has received.

Free shipping was probably decided as a part of their marketing for this item before it's reveal. Doubtful praise or popularity had anything to do with them offering free shipping. Free shipping is just a ploy to entice people to order and get an item sold.

Just because people here say day one order doesn't mean all of those people will actually order day one. Regardless of when free shipping was decided it was still offered as a tactic to encourage orders.
