I like Hamill's honesty.

Seems like he's truly a fan, and knows what people want to see in these new films.

Yeah he seems really pissed off that Luke and Leia didn't witness Han's death.

He's all **** Rey and Finn lol

This is the most open he's been about it.

If Hamill hates TFA then I will be left with no choice but to also hate TFA......again :lol

Actually now that I think about it, isn't his BIG reveal at the end of TFA the highest honor you could've given to Luke?

The ENTIRE PLOT led to one single important moment, finding LUKE!

Luke was the exclamation point to the entire story, can't get anymore important than that!

Might not be as exciting as him igniting a lightsaber to fight Kylo in the snow BUT that will also have its time and place.

Seriously. You guys suck the fun out of everything. Not everybody, but a select few. I am happy they are doing new movies. Movies without Lucas, whom I felt had lost his way. I am looking forward to this movie... and the Han Solo movie. My kids are looking forward to all this Star Wars product. It's not all about you guys. It's also about a new generation of fans. I'll judge the movie when I see it, not months before, after a single trailer. Yes, Disney is a business. They paid a buttload of money for these licenses. And yes they will create a ton of product. Some will be good, some bad. I will be avoiding these forums, not because of the spoilers, but more because I just can't stomach all the bitching.

:goodpost: :lecture +1 Well stated and I agree 100%. How the usual suspects enjoy anything is beyond me. :huh

Han Solo's family said they are fine with him being brought back to life via CG for IX so you never know we might get a proper reunion afterallZ.

Honestly this is what they get for trying to develop new characters and not sending the OT characters with a nice send off, now unfortunately Carrie died, who knows what will happen to Mark God Forbid and Episode IX will be a blunder because of it, characters add their own backstories because they know they want to do other projects and know at this point their time is limited, but you cant please everyone i get it, and his story about them seeing Han died would not make sense mainly because luke could have used the force to stop ren from killing Han, but still, now seeing the falcon alone without him for two more movies leaves me feeling empty.

Honestly watching that trailer makes my wallet hurt on how much merchandise will get released on Force Friday, and most importantly the Lego line of this movie and how much minifigures we will see off this flick.

The characters did have a good send off, it was called Return of the Jedi, Scene: Endor victory/Ewok Celebration.

We all had ideas on how things should have or could have happened. Just because Disney went in a direction that many of us did not foresee is no reason to look disparagingly at theses movies. Personally I think they should have left Luke's story alone and went more into the future. They could have referenced Luke in flashbacks or even in Jedi holocrons. I understand why they included the original cast, but their story ended with Return of the Jedi. The Force Awakens could have started a whole new tale of the Jedi.

Snikt wants the truth!

His truth only.

SNIKT is as opinionated as the rest of us -- moreso much of them time.

He is forever hopeful of Star Wars, yet puts down Marvel -- and in many of the same ways that people here criticize Star Wars. He’s the worst type of opinionated poster -- a hypocrite.

Eh, in all fairness a lot of us are blind to the criticism of things that we love.

I'm a die hard Marvel fanboy. As far as I'm concerned they can do no wrong on the big screen (tv is a different story). Atleast not wrong enough to really compromise my enjoyment of the movie. Same with Game of Thrones. Never seen an episode I didn't love.

But at the same time ive been pretty critical of The Force Awakens and am completely unforgiving of the DC Cinematic Universe, which I think is one of the biggest cinematic trainwrecks of all time.

Ive also a pretty big defender of Rouge One despite some pretty big problems in the film's first act, just because overall I loved it as a whole.

I understand why they included the original cast, but their story ended with Return of the Jedi. The Force Awakens could have started a whole new tale of the Jedi.
I'm not sure that really would have helped much to be honest. It could have easily been set 100s of years later and been the same story that made the same mistakes. And seeing as it turned out to be the last chance to get all 3 on screen, I'm glad they went that way. Even though it did feel a bit like getting tickets to a Beatles reunion concert and finding out that they are just the opening act for Justin Bieber.

Snikt might be what Wor-Gar is saying but I give him lots of credit for being polite at all times while being a snobbish hypocrite lol.

No for real he never fights with anyone and he always presents his case with well thought out ideas so even if we don't agree with them they're always worth a read nonetheless.

I did start my opinion by stating that we're all opinionated.

This is true. He's been much more tolerant since his banning.

Perhaps he's attained "gray-ness".

Don't get snikt either. He puts down marvel but gives people like avi arad a pass for almost killing the Spider-Man franchise and Star Wars which is pretty much doing what marvel is doing. Releasing movies every year to make money.

Its already too late for that. Copyrights, Disney, Marvel, all part of a corporate scheme to rake in money while they enjoy their rights. It is sad they do not believe that bubble will burst but look at history.

Of course it's going to burst, but Disney is going to ride that train till the wheels fall and the engine blows up!
