JND/Kojun Works - 1/6 Harry Potter Line

That's a lot of superlatives in one post: "best 1/6 figure", "highest level of prototype, "mass-productuon that is cooler than a prototype", "dedicated body with the best shape", "a product that you won't be disappointed with [...] at all", etc.

I guess JND has never heard of "underpromise, overdeliver".

Interested in how their kojun lite plastic figures will be priced and final quality output

WHY DO THEY ALL START WITH THE FIRST MOVIE?!

How interesting - I know literally nothing about this company however.
What is their price range like?
Hagrid and Malfoy would be a interesting pair to go with the Inart Golden Trio.
And it will be interesting to see which company does Snape first.

I believe their single Joker (version A) with silicone and rooted hair was right around $1000. I’m interested to see the quality/price of their so-called “Kojun Works Lite” versions but I’m definitely staying away from the silicone/rooted versions.

16. It would be great if many people bought Kojun twerks and Kojun twerks lite.

Well, duh... it would be great for any company if a lot of people bought their products. But if you're selling it at an absurd price and showing questionable prototypes, maybe that won't happen.

What I've noticed with JND's marketing is they try to build up hype and act all mysterious like trying to edge somebody. I don't need nor want 5 emails about teasing a product.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't JND the same company that did a Dark Knight Joker after InArt and Hot Toys announced/released theirs? If so, what's the point of doing something that InArt is already doing again?

If they were doing Deathly Hallows versions of the characters, maybe I pay attention to this, but considering they're doing the same thing InArt has in production, I won't even follow along. I just don't see the point of doing something another company is doing at a top level.

If I'm InArt, I'm probably expediting development on Snape to get that one out before JND can. I wouldn't want to lose any market share to another company.

I think it's boring that we get 2/3 companies doing the same thing (HP/TDK).

So Kojun Lite is basically Asmus slim...? A cheaper, smaller option... still maintaining "best shape"...?

Very curious to see how Kojun Works Lite will turn out. But not sure how many people would be interested in owning figures from the first movie, they should’ve went with later movies instead of copying InArt.

Yup. It's already boring that InArt and Hot Toys are doing so many of the same DC things. I know Superman hasn't been done by Hot Toys in a few years but how much do the recent ones really need to be improved upon that InArt felt a need to make one? And does that mean JND is going to make Superman too?

It's crazy to me that someone isn't trying to score a new license to appeal to the collector community. Sure - Star Wars, Marvel and DC are the big three in terms of franchises. But look at the way Lord of the Rings stuff is selling for InArt. And while sales are lower than the DC/LOTR stuff they're doing, Harry Potter must be selling well enough that they're continuing for more.

It would make sense for JND to go get the James Bond license or something. Let Hot Toys make their Disney stuff - Star Wars, Marvel, Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Indiana Jones. Let InArt do the Wizarding World, Middle Earth, DC and Game of Thrones as their big licenses. JND can do James Bond, The Hunger Games, Jurassic Park, the Bourne movies...whatever else wasn't picked up on already.

All the repetition is lame, and in these times there's still not enough market share that these companies can afford to get lazy and will need to keep pushing innovation and quality.

I was also hoping that JND would start with the older versions. It just makes no sense to me to offer $900+ versions of the young trio when INART already knocked it out of the park at their $500 price point. Even cheaper if you went with the sculpted hair.

Guess it doesn't matter to them though since whatever they make tends to sell out regardless. We're going to see the same thing when they get around to doing LOTR. A $1000 Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, etc etc.

Quite a few aspects really and not just with Superman. Hot Toys have become lazy and were just dialing it in with their DC releases. It wasn't until Inart showing better products that Hot Toys decided to "revisit" these franchises just because of, dare I say, ego? Even with Hot Toys's recent attempt at a better version, they still can't nail down the details.

From my understanding, the HP franchise is not selling as high as the other lineup Inart has. So what makes JND think they can takeover the market share by doing the same figures as Inart? They definitely should have started elsewhere.

Why not make a Terminator? A Predator? An Alien?

Let's keep making the same characters, from the same movies, everybody else is doing...
