I became 40 this year, but am totally in the same situation.
Unloading most of my stuff atm. Less is more. But I will most likely just keep about a dozen pieces and sell anything else.
The money however will be invested into a Lego Friends city I plan on building with my girls. No collection could ever top that.

My husband is going the Ninjago city route but otherwise very similar

Tell him to hurry. My eldest is almost 10 and already losing interest in spending Lego playtime with me.
Oh no!

I hope you're able to cherish the time with your younger kiddos.

Our kiddo is 2 so we're still in the duplos phase but he did just get kiddo Mario and Bowser figures since the movie is getting a LOT of play time here.

I just read my 2 posts in this thread (one 2 years ago and one back in March). I must have had my account hacked or something because I said my collection endgame was near, which is a crock of crap 🤣

I'm still buying stuff, although in my one and only defense it's all from sideshow deals. I got the prime 1 Arkham city Harley for nearly 50% off thanks to a 35% off plus $220 in rewards, as well as hot toys fennec shand and yelana for 30% off each just last month (those are on payment plan).

My endgame is when sideshow stops having good deals 🤣

And I have inart The Batman on PO with Kit, and Aragon with spec fiction (I hate that store, but damnit that figure looks so good I may actually pay the invoice for it whenever it's ready to ship!)

This hobby is addictive, and it's never going to be over. But thankfully I still enjoy it.

No worries. We still have a good time - it’s just not Lego anymore. She is starting to get interested in going to the shopping mal and look for clothes and all that female teenie stuff. I must admit that I find it extremely enjoyable to watch the kids grow up. The older they become the better the conversation. It makes me proud to see them become the human beings they are with all their flaws they are still perfect to me. :)

I AM looking forward to conversation.

And it really is a joy to see kiddo develop his personality.

It’s almost done.

After Thunder Toys’ Phantom (Ant-Man’s Ghost) arrives, all I want is a Jane Foster HS and I’m finished with the 1/6 MCU game. It’s a very strange feeling knowing that this decade+ journey is almost over 🤞

For now, my battle is keeping away from the myriad of < $50 impulse buys out there (I’m looking at you, Pop Up Parade).
