Project for this weekend complete. Picked up 4 double Bestas from IKEA as well as 4 of the Norfly lighting systems. Used them to make displays for figures from Marvel Phase 3, Infinity War, Endgame, and Ps4 Spiderman.

Hoping to pick up a 5th one soon for my Civil War collection.

I have 2 Besta units, one vertical and one horizontal (TV unit). 3 windows each. I recently installed some backgrounds for them. Here's some shots:

I like that you used something on the walls. I really don't like to see all the shelf mounting peg holes, wires etc. I wish more people would display greater attention to detail. For me, its the attention to detail that separates an outstanding display from an ordinary display.

Might as well put mine here. Give you an idea of 1/4, 1/6, 1/10, all in one pic! Rearranged this week, will have new pics..

On a side note, WTF Ikea, why would you discontinue DIODER!

Been a good minute since I've been in this thread. Looks like the Besta line is getting changed somewhat with how they make them. Thinner walls and less bulk, but the weight capacities are also dropping. Their TV units went from 110lb load all the way down to 35lbs. Worth keeping in mind for displaying heavy statues and PFs.

I tried to get on the besta train, and I built one cabinet. It's so unstable and rocks laterally to a hilarious extent. I presume this is the newer model, because I believe I was told the old ones had bracing beams on the back.

I still need to return it. But I migrated to Billys with hogbo doors to accent my detolfs.

That's an absolute joke of a weight limit for stuff.

It really is.

I know this is a Besta love thread; my husband used the ikea Pax wardrobe but also reinforced the shelves with flat metal bars to fix the weight limit problem. But we also sold them prior our last move because they weren't ideal for display.

Although I think the Besta looks better so definitely a switch for the better.

For sure. With TVs becoming thinner and lighter, they probably felt it was an opportunity to save on costs. It's getting to the point now where most of the "bookcases" you find everywhere can't even hold actual books. Ironically, Ikea might win there, since the Billy still sports a 66lb limit per shelf.
