I got the big black astronaut yesterday. Details & everything is great, but he is basically a statue. Cannot hold a pose.

I have a fetish for astronaut/space suit figures. I saw the new Blitzway astronaut figures offered, and considered buying one. The black finish was the most intriguing for me, then I remembered I got this Underverse figure, which is actually pretty great. Was thinking of posing him with the GOTG Stan Lee, but I might need more rocks

Yes!
Also, Shadow was there to purchase for quite a while on the website, did you miss her on purpose back then?
I just missed the cut off time for sale. I have GOLOVOREZ thats been shipped so will wait and see if Shadow comes on the S/H market.

Ah I see.
I think Shadow will be available on the aftermarket.. The figure is a pleasant surprise, the promotional image doesn't do her justice.

The figure that I sadly missed is Albus Bon Bon. Was sleeping when she was up for sale and sold out in about 1 hour or so. A friend called me, tried to wake me up but no success, and when I'm awake, she's already long gone :(

I bought a loose Yoshitsune head sculpt last summer with the intention of painting it for a custom. I ended up giving up after painting the hair :cautious:
I received a really cool custom 3A style head sculpt last week, which motivated me to finally entirely repaint Yoshitsune's head to match the custom sculpt.

Kuku arrived a couple of days ago. Her head sculpt is wonderful and I really love the stitched clothing, particularly the raven on the back of her t-shirt.

Usually their Modern Gals line is the only one that sells out with regularity, but Mort has recently had some comics published and is a unique character, so I wouldn't dally too much.
UV is pretty good. Their stuff is high quality in my opinion. Shipping worldwide is included in price. You pay balance up front. Sometimes they don't notify you when something is shipped.
One of the last figures they shipped had a different color belt/pouches from the proto and solicitation pics. That's been my only gripe in the last few years.

I'd recommend it. I bought one already right when they dropped and may order a second despite having Future Mort.

I know nothing about the character, but I'm loving this a lot, and I'm very tempted to pre-order!

Has anybody ordered from underverse before? How do they work, will he sell out at any moment, or is there time to consider?
I've ordered a lot of figures from Underverse, for Mort, it's currently an open preorder with no closing date but it's typically about a month or two that the listing will stay active on the Underverse site.

At the time of typing all this, there are approximately 380 preorder units still available; you can check by making the purchase quantity 1000, then use the purchase button. It results back with the pseudo on-hand amount. (this is only a placeholder quantity but it is more relevant when premade/limited figures are in the store)

To preorder, it's PayPal only and you'll need pay all upfront at the time of order. Worldwide shipping is included in the listing price. The average order fulfillment time is about 8 months or so. Ships directly from the factory in China, endpoint carrier for USA is USPS.

Some of these figures are also sold on other websites such as: https://giantoy.com/collections/pre-order/products/1-6-underverse-uv202407-les-mort-13-action-figure
and
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/290358?o=4
Granted there is a markup with both these sites and with BBTS there is also sales tax... my advice is order directly from UV.

This is the 3rd iteration of Mort and probably the best so far. First version was back in like 2008 before 3A existed and was made by a company called How2work. Second version was a 3A membership figure around 2018-2019.

If you're interested in Mort's backstory, you can check out the comic on Amazon:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the incredibly detailed reply, this helps a lot!

I remember that original How2work Les Mort, he came out right around the time I fully got into 1:6 scale.

I'll have to do some thinking, as I usually only collect characters I have a connection with based on interest and nostalgia, but this just looks soooo good.

I'm loving these shots in particular.
