BATMAN-85_KEYART.jpg

With Batman’s 85th anniversary having kicked off, a few companies are coming out with some new toys to celebrate. I thought it might be nice to have a dedicated thread for some of them.

Spinmaster has a brand new line of figures for Batman’s 85th anniversary. The offerings range from 3.75” figures to 12” figures, and are very, very affordable. I hope they go deep with this line.

Also in the 3.75” line will be single packed figures - so far we only know of Bane and Batman from Batman Returns. Those are just $6.99 each. West coasters have reported seeing them at Target stores.

Anyone here planning on getting any of these?

The Batwing might interest me but pity that the shape of the canopy is so flat and inaccurate.
Depends on the price…

Yeah I know…. If only someone could announce a 1/12 accurate batwing…
With all the 1/6 stuff in the Joost’s pipe, I doubt Joost would come back in the 1/12 scale…

I still hold hope that Spinmaster announce more of their great value 1/6 figures with 1/12 vehicles combos like they've done in the past.

-12" Batman (1989) with Batwing that can be modified to fit 1/12" scale figures.
-12" Batman (Batman Returns) with Batmobile that can be modified to fit 1/12" scale figures
-12" Deep Dive Batman (Batman Returns - Kenner homage) with Batskiboat that can be modified to fit 1/12" scale figures
-12" Laser Batman (Batman Returns - Kenner homage) with Batmissile that can be modified to fit 1/12" scale figures

I'm pretty certain it is a licencing issue. Maybe the now revealed 4" 1989 Batman from Mezco is the reason. Either way, I am overjoyed we are finally getting an SA Batman Returns figure.

If you cannot afford the higher end items, I find Spin Master stuff not bad. Many vehicles do fit 12" figures.

This thing turned out pretty good. I even ended up keeping the figure since I'll never have to look at it as he's in the cockpit. Just love me some 4 inch scale vehicles. The landing gears were a nice touch.

I love that we finally have a Returns figure, even if packaging it with the batwing doesn’t really make sense.
For the scale and price, the likeness is surprisingly really great. Dare I say, Spin Master has been one of the few to capture Keaton’s likeness pretty well, which is funny because they are the cheapest figures. The 12” figure from the flash had a better likeness than any of the Mcfarlane stuff, and this Returns 4” figure is just as good!

yep,saw that....
waiting to pre order!

i would have prefer bigger figures, like the kenner ones, but i'll take it anyway..

The problem is that i need 2 goons, to use the 2 heads, but it seems it just a pack with the 3 figures..

I've gotta get that batmobile. Seems like it's going to be the only chance at a reasonably sized 89 batmobile these days.
