I agree that a lot of my attention is now on 1/3, problem is that is VERY limiting on what I can actually buy. However, I still love the 1/6 Weta line so I plan to continue with them. I'm running out of space soon though, and I still need Legolas, Gimli, and Boromir in the Classic Series.
I really, really want both of these, but I need the production to come close to this for the amount of money they will be asking. I feel like Queen Studios is a gamble in that respect and it scares me to pre-order these.

Their recent Man of Steel 1:1 bust didn’t really come out as good as I would expect considering the price.

Incredible. Hopefully the preorder goes live not too far away.
So, so, so good. I mean, does it get better for a prototype? I can't think of anything else I've seen that can rival the likeness and skill to achieve such a realistic look. Maybe the only other likeness that is this good is that custom Downey Jr. Iron Man bust that's been coming out.
This is an even better likeness than their 1/6 version.
I would definitely want the hat though for the most iconic look.

Their 1/6 likeness was good, but had it looked this good I would've bought it. This is next level.

As good as this looks, I’m hearing 2 main potential problems from ppl on FB regarding Queen Studios track record and what to expect for this and Aragorn.
- Queen Studios is apparently known for a pretty decent drop in quality from proto to production, so don’t expect these to look anywhere near as good as these protos. From what some folks have said, the protos for Aragorn and Gandalf were done by custom artists. Apparently even some of their Iron Man pieces didn’t match the protos in paint finish and overall quality and those don't even have a human likeness to match with.
- Queen Studios has a LONG wait time and often delays indefinitely with their products; so who knows what the eta really will be despite whatever initial estimate they give in the product page when these go live
- *Bonus* some have said Queen Studios tend to under scale their pieces. Apparently both their 1/4 TDK Joker and 1/3 TDK Batman were under scaled. Those were the main examples I’ve heard.

Hmm, if I’m gonna step into the 1/3 statue world, to rethink my entire display set up, and pay those prices, I need a guarantee that the quality I see here is going to be what I receive.
I completely agree. I heard a lot of those same complaints about Queen as well, so they definitely make me worry if I were to pre-order. Hopefully, JND reveals Aragorn before the Queen even go up for PO so that we at least have something to compare and chose between the two. I think JND definitely has a better track record when it comes to production matching prototype, but I'm still hopeful that Queen can nail these. I'm less worried about them being slightly underscaled since they would be the only two LOTR 1/3 in my collection and basically be on their own, mixed in next to a 1/4 Nazgul on steed PF and a 1/3 Alien Big Chap close by.
I hadn't really followed much of what Queen did in the statue world, mainly because everything just seemed to be an Iron Man or Avengers based, but now that I think of it, their Thanos 1/4 and their Wonder Woman (not sure scale 1/4 or 1/3) was very impressive looking back.
But yea, it all comes down to guaranteeing the quality IMO.
