Also had not heard of this till now. Don't really need another cut.
Not a fan of the amateurish added CG bits, extended song, any 2049 references, or think the voiceover narration needs re-inserting.
Yet some of the deleted scenes and dialogue look quite interesting, and worth watching .

And more Gaff scenes, makes it a definitive watch for me.
"...but are you sure you are a man" Does he actually say that in a deleted scene?

So how and where do I watch this in November?

They also have most of the seprate scenes uploaded:

I'm with Denis Villeneuve - theatrical Criterion edition all the way.

At the very least, this looks interesting.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a fan edit.
I'm just curious about the deleted scenes. Not saying it's going to change my outlook on the movie, but there might be some interesting stuff in there.

The deleted scenes have all been out there since 2008 or so. They're even all on youtube.

I'd watch a fan edit that puts them all back in, but not this one that adds a bunch of weird (poorly made) original crap.

When will AI win an Oscar?
When AI can get up and slap Chris Rock across the face, with zero repercussions, and still get a standing ovation, we'll know AI's Oscar time has finally arrived. :lol

As laughably 90s game-cartoony as the "new" CG looks, I like seeing some of the extended views of Syd Meads City concept art and atmosphere.
So this guy had like zero budget, and way too much time on his hands?

After the 50s marc, volume off is a must :lol

This isn't related to whatever that fan edit is but since I'm a massive BR fan and you mentioned it I want to go on my quick rant...

The added voiceover narration for Deckard is one of the most braindead additions to the movie and drives me nuts.

I get from a noir aspect it could have been really neat to get more into Deckard's head, but most of the dialogue is just telling me what's happening in the scene or how to feel about it, as if I'm stupid.

End of movie:

*Picks up origami*

He had been here and decided to let us go.

"Holy **** what a revelation, thank you for telling me, I had no idea."

And when Roy saves him:

I don't know why he did it, maybe being so close to death he wanted to save someone clinging to life.

"Hell yeah, I love not getting to interpret a character's motivations at all, thank you."

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Blame the test audience who need everything spoon fed to them, and financiers in panic mode suspecting the general audience must all be idiots.
"financiers rewrote and reinserted narration during post-production after test audience members indicated difficulty understanding the film."
I saw it first theatrical release, with the narration, so despite having better cuts more faithful to directors vision being my go to version, the narration will always exist there for me as I can still here it even when it's not there. Which ads to the ethereal introspective atmosphere of the film.

Though the film doesn't need it, it never did, not sure if/why this guy wants to reinsert it?
Yet I'm always open to any excuse to see more BR footage, and if it's entertainingly (even awkwardly reinserted by a fan) into another version, I'll still give it a watch.
This will be free to watch right?. :lol
