Yeah the usage limit boom gate seems to come down much faster and harder than it used to. And in the age of a $275 SSC Walrusman, popping RPs in $1, $2 or $3 at a time starts to feel like such a fool's errand.

At this point I just cycle through "fortunes" at the top of each hour just to see if a code pops up, waiting on delayed notifications passively from here did not work well for me last week so I switched it up. If you're not redeeming within the first 2-3 minutes, it's pretty much guaranteed usage limit.

Are you guys getting actual rewards from this? I participated and did reasonably well, all things considered (was ranked around 50), but haven't received any rewards points as far as I know.

If they don't put the lottery wheel up at the end they sometimes add points to your account after the event for participation.

Yesterday they said after one I would get $1 but never did. With the one I participated in the top 3 were highlighted, so maybe they got points?

Lottery wheel points get added after the event. It can take up to a month before they get around to it!

Rumor is they dislike anyone who’s name ends with “80”.

79 and 81 are ok though.

I haven't caught a lot of the codes this year, but with the 30 day expiry, I'm not upset about it. I'm not sure I will be using them within that time unless they drop something good for PO in the next month. I used to save them up until something I wanted. It was good while it lasted.

I remember when I bought a statue waaay back in the day and got some rewards for it and like 14 years later when I started getting into Hot toys, the rewards were still available to use! Ahhh those were the days.

Sideshow can do what they want. They don’t have to give anything away, but it’s just not fun anymore. I used to come away from this event with $20+ in rewards that I could hold onto. Now, I’m lucky if I get $5 to replace the rewards that have already expired.
