I am not sure the web exclusive is worth it. It feels a bit like the phantom of opera exclusive...

I just don't think the base adds much value or need.

I felt this way about the Fonz base also.

But it's a perfect exclusive imo as only die hards will want it as it doesn't really add that much to the experience.

The exclsuive is a minor set of stairs and base for the clock and figure to stand on.
Yep...I regretted getting Happy Days exclusive base...
Passed on Phantoms opera base
And this

I think it's actually good extra for those who want it, but in the long run not that important.

If it was an extra head, I would be upset...

I could easily passed on the pathetic looking wooden stair base but the bat wings are a little more tempting. But with never having seen the actual movie, of course, I don’t have as strong an attachment to anything as I would say Frankenstein. Probably going to end up ordering the deluxe from Sideshow.

Yeah the wooden floor base is easily skipped but the wings gave me pause. Ultimately I decided to order the deluxe through Sideshow. Not having the incredible shipping cost and able to use flex pay helped. I realized I just wouldn’t ever display him with the wings so getting it just to have everything wasn’t worth the extra $150 or so it would probably run with the shipping and added cost of the exclusive edition.

It was worth it to me for the Phantom but not this one. I’m hoping the exclusives going forward aren’t as must-have as the Phantom and Hammer figures. Or at least let Sideshow distribute them in the US like they did with the Hammer figures.

I really want the batwing cape, and think it's quite an essential extra, but don't like having to go all-in for the useless extras that constitute much of the price hike. The clock and stairs (really, a set of stairs, of all things?) will never get any display use.

They made this decision harder than it needs to be. I think Kaustik is pricing their stuff a little too oddly now, compared to how generous they were with even the barebones releases in the past. Previously they gave us two head sculpts with every figure and offered some essential and optional accessories as add-ons, but this is now just confusing and limiting.

I checked the Sideshow listing and was surprised by the prices for the standard and exclusive. Is that really how much they are? This single figure is along the same price as an artisan, or as much as the Hammer Horror two-pack.

For potential buyers from Europe:
SPACE in Germany has them up for preorder as well.
350 € for the standard version.
430 € for the deluxe.
Shipping within the EU or to Switzerland should be free.

Yeah me too I really think collectors are gonna start voting with their wallets. It's just to expensive for what it is.

Locking the stuff behind a paywall doesn't sit well.

I think the sticker shock on Frankenstein, especially for people who have to have the creme del a creme top tier, is going to make folks pause and think before ordering. I've said it for awhile now, the pricing for this stuff is really out of control. I don't know if the inflated prices are to cover the niche market, and still be profitable, or if global inflation is really so bad that the prices have to be this high to be profitable. At any rate, I know this much: their Vincent Price house on Haunted Hill statue only had 50 Exclusives, and 250 regulars. An item limited to 300 definitely shows a "shrinking" fan base. Hence the higher prices perhaps?

I'm just about to turn 55. I can remember nearly having a coronary when Sideshow released their premium format Frankenstein at like $150-$175. I'm having bigger epsisodes with the prices that are double, for these 1/6 figures.

That being said, I am probably gonna have to get their Wolfman. If they do a Chaney Kharis, I would cave there also.

I decided to order the deluxe thru SSC. Why is the delux $100 more at OSK?
Shipping is factored into Kit’s pricing. The big clock will probably make him pricey to ship internationally. I find Kit’s and Sideshow’s prices fairly comparable most of the time but with heavy items Sideshow usually comes out cheaper.

Oh yeah. I forgot that he figures shipping into the cost.

Dang it. I just realized I wanted the t shirt. Oh well. :lol
