I mean it looks slightly better but it still doesn’t really look like Kratos imo.
It might not really look like Kratos as per your view but you can't deny this one looks so much better than the Mondo one. The angry expression on the Mondo looks comically bad.

Better, sure. Good, no.

I'm just a little sad because the pre-sale I made doesn't guarantee me the spear and the cape, one of these two items may come randomly
I thought pre-order included everything? They're in the promotional pics.

I translated this promotional image from Onetoys. Unfortunately I only made the pre-sale after this period

Welp, I went ahead and ordered off the Bay. About a $100 over retail. I've watched the Ghost of Tsushima VTS figure go up and up and up. Hoping to avoid that.

Agreed. Especially after seeing the new Prime 1 statue. I wish we got that sculpt shrunken down. I'll just have to stick with the angry sculpt since that one better hides the weak likeness.

Now I’m tempted to make a Kratos sculpt closer to that and of course the game likeness. With movable eyeballs.

Might be worth looking into seeing if anyone uploaded the in-game model from the PC version of Ragnarok now that it's out. I'm sure people have extracted the models by now. That way we can get 1/1 sculpts, or at least close to it.

I guess it's good that I really can't see the problem with the sculpt the way some of you can. Maybe the paint, but the sculpt looks fine. Looks like Kratos to me. Dry-brushing the beard like @Akiratang mentioned might be the only thing I tamper with. I don't think I have the time to mess with the eyes.

I just hope these later batches have better color matching between the head, arms and body.

Love all the repainted aspects (especially the blue frost on the axe) except for the red on the shield. I prefer the standard gold look.

People are nitpicking this sculpt considerably more than they do some of the other recent and upcoming video game figures by more established brands.

I agree, the likeness looks really good to me, considering the quality of the overall package and the price point I do think people are being a little too OCD about this.
No its not perfect, but its many orders of magnitude better than the vast majority of video game figures.
I for one am super happy with how this looks and cant wait to have it in hand.

Been a long time since I had this strong a disagreement with people on a likeness. I think this one looks really great.

It's alright. The colors and beard shape throw it off also. He doesn't have that "ashy" look.

Man I would love a Kratos figure from the Greek saga - maybe with the starting armour he had in GoW 2. Alas, the demand probably isn't there for that.
The Greek saga Kratos would be massive, his height is around 234cm in that saga, would be around 39cm in 1/6 scale. You can really see his proportion on those older games, his legs are really long, we don’t really realize that because in game he’s always a bit like a crouch walk.
