That's the best futzing I've seen for the stock figure.

If I recall, you did some padding. Adjusted the straps. Tamed the cape, which looks fabulous by the way..

Anything else?
What a fine compliment.
Yeah, in terms of actual adjustments, it was just padding the arms and adjusting the gliders on the sticky gun holster.

Everything else is pure futzing. Lots and lots of futzing.

Still got two clamps on the cape just to really solidify some folds right at the top.

Wish he had more left hands- especially a designated card holding left.

I can understand how a lot of people can’t get this figure to reach its full potential.
It takes time. I have psychotic levels of patience and set aside entire days just to do things like ‘pleat the cape’ and then leave it another couple of weeks just staring at the figure to catch anything that’s not sitting quite right before massaging more parts around.
I’m sure I’m not done with it yet.

Cape is definitely a struggle, but you seem to have futzed it quite well! I still struggle with not getting some of the ends to flare for whatever reason.

Thanks! Mostly just tried to get the right shape from the front for the photo….it looks pretty rough from the sides and back still haha. Will have to put some substantial futzing time in on it until I get a replacement sorted.

this happened with me this weekend with the Harry Potter figure. Spent some more time with it, and enjoyed it a bit more than when first unboxing it
That Harry set is almost frustratingly intimidating, there are so many options to pose him with different accessories. I can see how it can give a high level of enjoyment for people that like to repose and change up a figure on display,

Missed the mail yesterday, got overloaded from it today. Tomorrow will see what's what.
Have a spare Inart Joker body to try with the Topo drifter kit.

i got you gif.gif IMG_4337.jpg

I had sort of lost interest after the delays, and was debating cancelling, but coming off The Penguin and InArt Aragorn I opted to keep the order. Glad I did - only had time to assemble but first impressions are solid!

But yeah, you all weren’t kidding, it needed a drape cape. Stock one really is just an unruly baggy mes

For some reason, I can hear him say "thumb... drive."

I can see my OCD will trigger hard once this arrives, definitely spending +2 hours a day all week when this arrives lol

Dedication. I admire that.

I love reading about what others do to enhance (even if I disagree) this particular figure. I think I’ll be enjoying it bone stock for a good while – it’s really the pesky cape that’s the major detractor of this set for me. For now, I removed the cape as I want to dedicate time futzing it and hopefully achieve what others have.

I love how menacing this is. Certain legitimate and inaccurate flaws such as the seamed cowl neck don’t really bother me since I plan on having his head faced forward tilted down at a slight angle. It just screams the vibe of this moody Batman for me based off all the promo material – I love it. Accessing the rolling eyes is a pain in the ***, but with the help of small needle nose pliers, I’m willing to be patient to get them just right.

I appreciate those who are swapping out armor bits or plan on doing so. I prefer INART’s armor in color and finish albeit dull. They’re more accurate, imo. The proportions and tailoring are fantastic to me.

I experienced minor QC/design flaws. The left cowl ear is slightly bent at the tip – I’ll need to adjust that. I also received a neck connector without a magnet, but it’s still secure and snug. The neck peg itself is somewhat weak but since I plan to have his head angled down, it’s not a big deal to me. I also feel the Velcro patches are weak, hopefully they don’t lose their friction over time. Biggest omission as mentioned before was not including a proper drape cape in addition to the wired cape.

As to the why I collected this figure….

My personal favorite live-action Batman film is Batman Begins but I regard The Batman (2022) film as the best live-action Batman film when it comes to understanding the mythos of the character, and not to mention, everything else about it. His Year 2 suit is also my second favorite (behind Begins), so to have it in figure form is special. Getting all cheesy here, but I’m just stoked to finally have INART Batman, the one to have to represent Batman ‘22 imo.

The pictures below don’t do the figure justice (as it’s so often the case with INART figures), but the essence of it with his eyes looking up, plain mean looking, is what I dig. To wrap it up, I appreciate the mods out there, but if I can manage to futz the hell out of the cape, bone stock is all I need really. Happy to be part of the club though and 500 pages too!

This is gonna be my current configuration. Some HT bits, the OT collar, with the original IA chestplate. I may give light matte coat to some of shoulder pads (though not as matte and gray as IA's), and to the gloves. But I love the punchier contrast. He looks more like the rain slicked version of the character, compared to IA's more dusty matte version.

Yeah. Same issue with the velcro. Shoulder plates are super loose on those.

I like this mix. Starting to want the boots now.

Those Hot Toys gauntlets make his forearms look like Popeye's. That's not the gauntlet's fault though. It's the twig arms. Some padding will help with that (à la Cap'n Cook & Chopper Face)

Yeah the HT bicep armor has room to pad the arms uniformly a bit. The IA bicep armor is too tight to really squeeze in anything natural looking below without looking like a squeezed sausage.

I mean in pics of the real suit, those gauntlets do look really beefy, but how that looks at 1/6 scale and to what degree is so subjective.

Closer to Hot Toys in shape. Closer to Inart's in paint. I stopped aiming for screen accuracy when I realized nothing would suffice for that. Each figure falls on one extreme, and some combinations are more aesthetic than others. All a matter of personal taste.

I think JND would knock it out if they tried. It doesn't seem in their plans though.

I think it helps for Pattinson to add (a little) muscle for the next film, although it seems unlikely. He really was a bit scrawny to take seriously in the role.

Of course the magic of film can make it work, but there are still times when the bulk (of the suit) clashes with his slender form, and his appearance looks a little jarring.

In that sense, I can appreciate a more idealized / stylized representation in figure form.

For sure. Plus, given how lanky he was, and how big and bulky the suit looked, it was hard to imagine him actually being fast enough to be threatening. I mean he lumbered through so many of those fight scenes.

I think that's the point he was mainly straight brawler with a lot of rage so he isn't going for stealth hence the armor. At the final fight with the riddler goons he is moving a bit faster and starts using things in his environment like the smoke, and his gadgets to a degree as he he knows going in full fists isn't smart. Actually he starts getting more tactical when he goes after Carmine in the Iceberg lounge.
