Certainly people gravitate toward the Bond they 'grow up with' at the time. But when you get older, its clear to see who the better Bond is.
Yes definitely. I came around to Connery because whenever school sports got rained out we got to watch movies and it was often the very early Bond films. That or Polanski’s MacBeth lol.

The Connery movies are dated in many ways and getting more ancient every second, but Connery found that perfect balance of action and humor, and the movies reflected that. As the movies started to get silly, so did the sets and outfits and storylines. Moore did a good job with the humor, but he remained in the role way too long.

They tried to pull back with Dalton, but he had no charisma or aloof sex-appeal (riding a rollercoaster with a stupid grin is mostly what I remember). Brosnan should have been better, but his villain's plots were often overly complex and other than Sean Bean and Xenia he didn't have any good foes. The Craig era started fantastic, but never really got off the ground after that -- 16 years, 5 movies, and nothing very memorable amongst them other than Craig himself. Connery did his first 5 movies in 5 years... with much more success.

Casino Royale. The B & W screen, Bond earning his Double-O promotion split in between 2 sequences. I knew this Bond was going to be different.

Yes. I can clearly remember how packed the cinema was and the commotion for Moonraker. I loved them both at the time. Give me a break I was only 8. I learnt in time. Moore was my favorite but I learnt in time on that as well.
I still love The Black Hole

I still find enjoyment out of Moonraker

Give me a break, I’m 53

:lol

I can find nothing incorrect about any of this. A+

To be fair to the DC films, I did just watch all of them back to back earlier this year and fully enjoyed all but QOS (just no saving that)

The continuing story line makes for a better binge watch than waiting 16 years for just 5 movies

I like Skyfall, and Javier. Maybe if the Craig movies were lighter on their feet and clocked in at 2 hrs.

But I agree, Quantum was just... I don't even know. But it wasn't a Bond movie.

I love Goldeneyes until they show him falling next to the plane.

Tom Cruise would have done it for real :lol

Yep.

Harsh but true

Oh god, you made me realise i turn 54 in a few months and all I can think is that while my friends have houses and cars and boats to hand down to their kids what do I have? The first issue of The Incredible Hulk and a HT Han Solo/Chewbacca 2 pack lol.

The last time I watched Black Hole was a long time ago and I said never again. Same with Flash Gordon. And now same with Moonraker unfortunately.

Moonraker was awesome! I still get a kick out of Moore's Bond. Nothing ever bothered him, just a relaxed chill 'ol chap no matter the circumstances. lol

I think Connery will always go down as Bond #1, no matter the generation.
Bond #2 for me is both Moore and Dalton.
I can't really say there was ever a Bond I didn't like. I think every Bond actor contributed to the franchise in their own unique ways (even Lazenby).

But seeing the direction this world is taking, I have a feeling that will probably change with the next one...
