Apes movies are from Fox, owned by Disney. Hot Toys makes a lot of Disney, though I can't see them making this.

For me the only apes are the classic apes. Five movies and a TV series: 1968-1974.

I have so much nostalgia for the originals that nothing else ever came close, or needed to.

The Hot Toys gorillas are still good, but Sideshow's efforts were severely lacking. Since Hot Toys seem to be in a period of remaking past releases, and they're into hairy figures, I live in hope they'll revisit the Apes and expand the line.

Doubt it will ever happen though.

This is unexpected. Those two pictures look terrific, especially the warpaint one.

I still have my Sideshow Cornelius, Zira, and Dr. Zaius. They're very dated, but considering where the hobby is now compared to when SS produced those figures, I'd be surprised if they're ever remade, so I still treasure them.

I'm expecting whatever this is will be just related to the newer movies, but I'd like to be surprised.

I agree wholeheartedly. This series of films were junk. The originals were the shizat. As a young person my local theater ran all 5 movies for a weekend. It was something like a 10 hour day at the movies for Saturday and Sunday both! When Carlton Heston finds the Statue of Liberty it’s an epic moment in film history. It was so much better with apes having human bodies than chimps talking like humans. There seems like very little imagination for movies these days. Everything is a remake of something better made worse. The original Planet of the Apes series are Epic still! I’m so glad I grew up when I did. 👍🏼

The new movies are brilliant.
I still love the original with Heston, that was simply amazing, and holds up to this day. A classic through and through, but I don't really care for the others. Might have to watch them again.
