It went downhill for me when Sam was lecturing Bucky on how to stalk a target WTF, Bucky acting like a wet-behind-the-ears Robin, and Sam generally being a pompous @ss. Two fine actors whose capabilities were completely wasted for the most part. :pfft:

No way I'd give up my IW Buckys it's creepy like having little Buckys on the shelf. Beautiful, beautiful fig. Anyway IW Nat and Cap need him. Only IW figs I own to represent, really alone with my only War Machine. Tho am paying on an artisan SW.$$$

But I own 2, or three? original WS and guess that's that then. :lol Well, will see. HT may cheap out on certain looks or accessories, so I'll be able to mix it up. I own original Golden Age Cap too, but I'd happily buy another as have no idea if the plasticy suit material will last. Plus, he's kind of puffy in the shoulders.
That Golden Age suit is the best of the Cap suits, IMO...

For me, Civil War Cap 2.0 is the look I primarily want for Cap, the definitive imo. AoU Thor 2.0. Ragnorak/IW Hulk is another one.
Civil war suit was cool, but I like end game’s suit a little bit more cause of the scales, a call back to the comics. For my collection of Cap, I would have golden age, stealth suit, and end game.

If Endgame was a bit lighter blue, that’d be my definitive cause yeah, it’s got the scales. I currently have 2012 EG Cap, but it’d be on its way out if they make a CW Cap 2.0. I don’t think I’ll be able to do repeats for my MCU collection given all the barrage from SW.

That’ll be a sweet 3 figure lineup. But EG Cap needs mods. I’d upgrade it with the new helmeted sculpt from the Stealth 2.0 release at least. I’ve seen it in person a bunch and it’s got a little pinhead, IMO.

I've got a fondness for the First Avenger suit and CW.

And a real fondness for the TWS movie, but past that would hafta think real hard about any more 2.0 upgrades. Imagine if past EG the MCU stuff had really taken off, this wouldn't even be a conversation. HT would be focusing on the Eternals or something.

Besides the fact that around CW seems like a lot of figs were accessory sparse. Even a fig like SW Bucky they could have added the Henley or something. Interesting base.

So the question is this going to be a fully loaded Bucky, a stripped down WS, or do we get to choose between a DX/Exclusive $$$$ and a "standard"? :impatient:

Agreed about the pinhead. I wonder if Hot Toys will do an End Game Cap 2.0 and fix everything and updated clothing making it more articulable.

I only really saw the pinhead on EG Cap in pics, but not so much in hand. What bothered me more than that was the material choice for the suit as well as the shoulders and chest being made of plastic. Should’ve done the screen printing to get the scaled textures.

FA Cap is probably my favorite of his suits but can live with Golden Age just as well to represent both. I wouldn’t complain about 2.0s of either.

Of the modern suits, it’s almost a tie between CW and EG (since they’re so similar) with EG having the edge b/c of the scales, but would be happy with either.

AOU while similar to CW/EG, I feel is unique enough with its brighter red and white on the costume. Not to mention the magnetic shield.

The ones I don’t care to own and probably won’t even if there are updated ones down the road are A1 and IW Cap.

Endgame is still my favorite Cap suit, and I find it a fantastic figure -- if a bit tough to pose. But I don't do doubles, so if I get this Winter Soldier, I'm probably swapping him out for a corresponding TWS version.

Yes I also thought that the Endgame head was well done but significantly smaller than it should be, so I repainted an AOU head and put it on the Endgame body.

Yeah the plastic parts on EG cap was a head scratcher. In hand I still noticed the pin head but only cause I was made aware of the issue prior so I can’t stop but noticing it.

I am exactly the same as you, I don’t care about A1 and IW costume of Cap.

Here is my Endgame Cap with repainted AOU headsculpt and slightly modified body (shoulders) …

The Endgame would be the perfect suit if it had the white on the upper arms. That's the unique feature I like on the Age of Ultron suit. I was disappointed when the white was removed on the Civil War suit, as I like that one as well.
But yes, as others have said I would like a 2.0 of the First Avenger suit, with an unhelmeted head which the original lacks. To me the suit in the first film looks like an actual military uniform a soldier would wear in battle.

Looks awesome! Head definitely looks better proportionally.
Thanks, it solved that bit of disproportion for me. I did it a couple years ago and have subsequently learned some techniques that would have made my paintjob better, but overall I like the way he turned out.

The Endgame outfit is my favorite because of scales, but I agree with some others that it would look really good with white on the sleeves like the AOU version.

I like your thinking there. I may take the spare Endgame suit I have and lighten that up into a custom.

Only thing I do worry about is the pleather outfit. The original one is falling apart for a lot of people. Hope they don't cheapen out on that here.
I bought the original Winter Soldier at release back in the day. I barely touched it or posed it, kept it in a detolf in a climate controlled room, and when I sold it a few years ago the jacket sleeves had begun to flake and deteriorate. People like to argue about it, but it really is a case of when it'll happen, no matter how good you take care of it.

I wouldn't argue about it, but mine are fine - kept in a glass door bookcase, it's usually pretty dark, but no special climate conditions.

Don't think it's anything to argue about tho - I wouldn't be SUPRISED if any of this cheap coated pleather peels, no matter how well it's kept. Was always prepared to totally strip the coating and re-coat with vinyl repair, fabric paint, etc. I especially wasn't surprised after reading about oiling Batman suits and the pink panty Iron Mans - or, that telegraphed to me that HT was using cheap compounds, hadn't tested, and sure wasn't making public exactly what chemicals/paints/coatings they are using.

*Shrug*. I figure none of this may last a lifetime - even museums have trouble with degrading plastics (https://www.canada.ca/en/conservati...ines-collections/caring-plastics-rubbers.html). These are action figures and I'm not storing them in an oxygen-free room at cold temperatures in the dark. 😁

We lost. They give us a new Ant-Man reveal for the updated headsculpt.
