Great post in general. I know so many people that want animated clones. I dont because my collection is realistic, almost all of my headsculpt ppl have their faces on and I want my collection to be harmonious. This would be a good job for SSC, go for it - but I want my HT ppl matching in that respect. IMO all armor-wearing ppl in SW onscreen are unnaturally skinny as well. HT avoids this problem for the most part.

If we wish to discuss bad HT interpretations, I point general you towards the breastplate-armor differences between SSC ARC troopers and the ones HT Echo and Fives are wearing. I dont notice most of these nitpicks but that one, I DO. Its just bad. I hope HT fixes this before release. Not hopeful they will, but maybe.
Did you not keep reading…? Lol.

We don’t want animated clones. Dennis misread.

Did you not read that I said that I know many people [NOT on these boards] who want animated clones? I wasn't talking about you.

I know a ton of them. Lots of them are actually buying animated sculpts to put on their TBB figures. Would never do that, but they're not my figures.

Its not about you.

That’s interesting cause that’s an incredibly small minority then cause most people want the “realistic” Clone Wars figures so they can go with the rest of the Prequels figures. Too bad they’re hella inaccurate.

...An incredibly small minority of PEOPLE YOU KNOW. This is an absolutely huge hobby with an equally huge range of fandoms and I'm doubting any one of us has the pulse of every other collector out there. I therefore judge your claim to be inaccurate at best.

It’s incredibly small in the grand scheme of things imo. But again, I really don’t care for this little argument anyway. You win. I don’t care. It’s cool.

At this point, I wish they were animated style cause it would’ve avoided all these inaccuracies and made up concoctions. But good for you that you can enjoy this mess of a line, to each one’s own of course.

I think the market for animated style isn't very big but perhaps there are enough fans to sustain a limited line. HT could test the waters if Sideshow would allow.

The real money though is realistic. HT's semi realistic figures sell because they are the only game in town but if folk had the choice they would go for fully realistic. It is sad that outside of the Phase 2 helmet (and overall armour proportions) Sideshow has been better on accuracy than HT. Phase 1 Rex had ROTS pauldron and a far better phase 1 helmet than HT have ever made for example while Sideshows phase 1.5 ARC helmet was far closer than HT's. And it isn't like Sideshow was super accurate either (no movie based blasters, phase 1.5 helmets had wrong ears etc etc). HT are just not putting the effort in.

In all fairness, most of the blame lands on Disney Lucasfilm. They just don’t know the original Lucas Prequels designs and details and are signing off on erroneous mistakes. They’re also adding fuel to the fire with their own Battlefront and D+ clone trooper show designs.

At this point, I’m just praying HT recreate the ROTS clones correctly.

It should be illegal to put animated heads on those bodies 🤣

Seems like a lot of what HT is doing nowadays is just copying what Sideshow did.

Backwards armor Rex in the Ahsoka show lol

Ok, we are on the same page then. I would prefer Echo, Fives, Jesse, Rex, etc. to look like they would look in live action. I guess I'm ok with HTs interpretation of them and view them as "close enough" to live action representation. Sorry if I confused things, I got a little lost in the thread. :)

As a mega clone nerd, I've come to just accept these as they are, like you, I wish the TCW Rex was completely accurate to the original AoTC/RoTS models, but that isn't happening. Giving Appo the correct pauldron while everyone else gets the animated one always confused me.

Don't get me started on those live action clones we got in Ahsoka.

【Star Wars: The Clone Wars™ - 1/6th scale Clone Commander Wolffe™ Collectible Figure】

Clone Commander Wolffe (clone designation CC-3636) once served under General Plo Koon in the Clone Wars, as commander of the tight-knit unit known as the Wolf Pack. A seasoned and battered combatant, over the three years of the conflict Wolffe witnessed some of the worst the war had to offer. Early in the Clone Wars, he lost his entire command when Master Plo's flagship, Triumphant, was destroyed by the cyborg General Grievous. Despite such tragedy, he fought on bravely, proudly brandishing his battle scars and instilling loyalty among his men. But after the Empire takes hold, Wolffe is among the good soldiers who now follow the orders of Emperor Palpatine above all others.

Looks so good! Interesting that they mention only the left eye being moveable but the pics indicate that both eyes are since the blind eye has the faded iris on it and isn’t just a plain white eye.

If I had a minor complaint, it would be that I wish he had a bit more of a scowl/frown similar to the Sideshow sculpt. Feel like that had so much personality
