The detail on these is insane. Very impressive. There are high resolution images on Prime 1 Facebook page. Notice the clear stands for theor swords. Wonder if this will be in the final release. I guess the swords are too heavy to hold their own weight at the hilt

Square Enix and P1 have mentioned that the support stands are temporary and only for the exhibition because these are currently the only prototypes in existence so they are being extra careful (in case of earthquakes, etc.)

Supposedly, the supports won’t be needed for the final product.

Also, P1 announced that the preorder date will be revealed tomorrow.

Prime 1 statues (and polystone in general) can start to lean over time. I would probably use some kind of support for long term display just to be safe. They're supposed to be reinforced by steel rods... but sometimes this happens

Yeah, I'm praying these don't lean over time. Sephiroth's wing, in particular, looks like it could cause some major problems depending on what material they use.

I mean they can say all they want but physics over time will have some of these things warp a bit, especially the swords. P1 often have swords and such slightly warp over time even with metal pegs since the surrounding parts are polystone. Even in proto shots you can see some of the switch outs are not straight.

How long have you had the statue for? Is temperature a factor in this too?

This was from a reddit post titled "Virgil started to lean after 6 months" with comments of similar cases. Google "prime 1 leaning"

while extreme climate may play a factor, polystone as a material tends to warp over time. Obviously the guy on Facebook wouldn't be able to admit this because the warranty period is 30 days and anything that happens after that is "natural wear and tear" so I would reinforce it myself if it looks sketchy

Damn that's bad. If that happens only after 6 months or heck, even if it happens over a couple years I would have to heavily consider if spending thousands of dollars on something is worth it if it warps like that.

Think vergil is an extreme case. Most times it's not that noticeable. But for these buster swords, I don't know what magic they can do to not have the switchouts where the blade is horizontal not warp in some way... I've had smaller blades from them droop a bit. Seems too large to avoid, so I'll be using the sword on back pose for Cloud.

For every statue like this, there are dozens that are not. But I do think it is a matter of time, so just take precautions to maintain it if needed.

Also the 1/4 2B was under 1k msrp, albeit a couple years ago, so I'd be surprised if these were 2k each. I know the ff6 piece was ridiculously high, but that price point was specifically set by Amano, while ff7 collab is with Nomura iirc

Yeah I was wondering why Terra was stupidly high. I was checking on P1 SE website and it seems like the Nier Automata Trio (2B, 9S, and A2) was ~3.5k so if it's anything like that then maybe in the range of 4-5k is more realistic?

I'm shooting in the dark on this one so don't quote me, but based on past products I would guess there will be a basic and DX version. DX might go over 2k but I'd imagine they will try to keep the basic under 1800.. maybe 1500

That is unless SQEX puts some crazy tax on it...
