Got my Bride today!

NECA is really doing an outstanding job with this line. She is beautiful.
Perfect paint apps, no stuck joints, no warping anywhere, just all round perfection. The material they used for the gown is also great, just the right level of translucent and drapes exceptionally well for such a small scale.

Yeah, I wish Hasbro would use similar materials for their Star Wars figures that NECA is using on the Bride’s dress and Dracula’s capes. They drape really well. The crap Hasbro uses is bulky, thin, and has zero drape. I’m sure this good fabric is a little more expensive but it’s so worth it to make the final product that much better.

I have been remiss in sharing some pics of my NECA figures, so here's a couple of the Bride and the Count.

Are they doing a version of the Monster from Bride without the chair? What would also be nice would be Henry and Pretorius to go with them......
Version of Bride "Monster" w/out chair is the b/w version. Dunno if this line will go much deeper imho. Hopeful it will, but TMNT seems to be all the rage over there these days.

Even the TMNT monsters seem to be coming to a halt. No Dracula Shredder after all that set up is disappointing.

I wonder if NECA will give the new theme park looks a try? Really the only other way to redo the core monsters without doing Basil Gogos variants, which didn’t do well on Kong.

Well, I’ll be! Just after I got done saying Kong didn’t do well in those colors! And I just got back from Disneyland a couple of weeks ago. If they had been at Universal then, I might have tried to make it over to see if they had it in shops outside the park. Definitely on my radar now!

I’m sure it’s a cost/licensing thing, but they really aren’t doing themselves any favors by not including Basil’s artwork on the packaging. It’s just going to read weird to the casual observer without the reference point being right there.
