This is something I would almost prefer to be quarter or third scale so you can fully take in the detail. I'm not really in huge need of a 1/6 Caesar.
At this size it will be a simple statue that you won't be able to do anything with.
In 1/6, we'll have a fully articulated figure with which we can do all the poses we want, It's just Perfect considering the quality which seems just Awesome

New films junk? Laughable. Some of the best reboots ever made.
Dawn of POTA is an amazing film.

I never got the appeal of the reboots.

Grew up watching the originals on TV, had the 8" Mego figures, remember reading the TV series novelizations in school, and still have my hardback 1975 annual. One thing I've never done though is actually read Pierre Boulle's Monkey Planet.

I've watched all the new ones once just to tick them off. Not junk, but I just don't have the urge to ever see them again.

Making the apes CGI and 'real' added nothing for me, and only detracted from the very thing that made the originals so appealing.

The Boulle novel is VERY different from the movie; Boulle himself said it was one of his lesser efforts. The Rod Serling script was closer to the book, but it was Michael Wilson’s revised script that elevated it to what we now know of as the ‘68 movie. Both Boulle and Serling admitted it was a much better effort than either of them made.

I didn’t mind the reboots, as they are so different from the original and its sequels, but nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, will ever be able to beat the original (just having improved special effects isn’t enough to knock one of the greatest science fiction, and an insightful social allegory, movies of all time off the shelf).

I wish the newer films leaned more on the philosophical elements of the original. Good sci-fi uses an outlandish premise as a means to explore bigger questions. The premise isn't really the focus. Dawn did a great job in that regard and I was hoping War would continue with the political themes, but it turned out to be more or less a by-the-numbers action film.

Also I'm a sucker for the leather outfits and Ninja Turtle feet.

Yeah the new movies were a lot less allegorical, but I still found it incredibly compelling to see realistic apes speaking, thinking, and behaving in a human way-- and much closer to our time period versus thousands of years in the future when they've become far more human. And also interesting to see how that intelligence slowly grew and developed from the start.

Plus it let the apes like Caesar and Koba be much more their own rich, complex characters instead of being a cutesy allegorical representation.

I love the Apes movies, both the old and the new! So far I think all of the new ones have been home runs which makes me nervous since that means we are due for a dud. I never got into the old series though, it was before my time and I never took the time to go back and watch it.

Just seen this! Considered me sold! I hate the NECA war paint but it took a nose dive and smashed so this is would be a welcome addition!!!

Not sure if it's for sale anywhere yet, but we finally got more pics of the complete figure. And looks like one version might come with a (very shiny) horse.

PO’d each and everyone of this damn dirty ape!! And the horse too!

Never heard of this company, but I want a CAESAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR figure in my collection.

So I’m rolling the dice!

Looks awesome! Torn between the two versions. Probably leaning a bit more towards the war paint version. I don’t feel like I need them both.

Gonna PO the warpaint ver as without it, it just looks like a random monkey in display lol

I'm abit cautious though as I've never heard of Hellcat. But it's cool it's a posable figure, unlike the Starace statues
