Got my custom tie, looks a lot better than the stock one but need to find the time to futz it correctly into place.

I'm curious to see what the Presents Toys version will be like as I can't afford to go in for a full custom outfit but would prefer an upgrade over the Dark Toys, at least the shirt and shoes, everything else is ok for me (aside from the custom tie and sculpt I have).

That looks fantastic. Considering grabbing one as well
I quickly put it on the figure and it's a noticeable upgrade, only thing is the knot needs to be loosened I think to fill the space.
Haven't got time to mess with it at the moment and I'm also in the middle of swapping the outfit to a random body I had to see if the proportions are better than the stock Dark Toys body.

Having a look at some stills from the movie and reference pictures and I think the tie actually doesn't need loosening.
I also asked the creator and he said in the movie it looks small but he was willing to make me a new one with a larger knot just for the cost of shipping.
Might take him up on that and then compare both as even though the small knot is accurate, it just doesn't look great with the button behind and the huge gap.

why not just put it on a coomodel 001 body. tried and proven.

i have tried other bodies, while it makes the neck sit lower, the neck rubs the body so i had to sand a little.

Tie is dinodinoya rest is Brother Production from 2010. Will change soon

Coat was customized brother production, I’ve added buttonholes
funny thing i just reread your post and noticed buttonholes looks like "Butt On Holes".

I didn't want to buy another body at the moment and thought I would just try one that I had lying around which is more sturdy than the stock one.

Can the Dino tie be tightened a bit to cover the button more?

This is this Iris set here (also small knot), same principle I imagine. Tightened on the left and it hides the button better.

Yeah I'll have to give it a try when I get the chance, I'm not sure if the knot is glued/sewn together to keep it's shape.

Yes. In this particular pattern Iris did her version which is the best available (in my opinion) followed by the Yunsil v1 version.
from what i see, non is close to the 1:1 as the material is really thin even on the 1:1.

I also comissioned a version of my own in 1/6 a few years ago. Speaking from personal experience of having tried to replicate the screen worn shirt in 1/6 in Adobe Illustator it's a difficult pattern to replicate in such small detail. There's a part of the collar that appears to have a kind of jersey 'mesh' like you see on American football jerseys. To recreate that in 1/6 would be very hard indeed.
