Well, I'm gonna find out how good this is soon enough. Already know from JND the realism will be great, I can already see the tailoring for a single company offering is going to be the best.

I don't think the sculpt and hair is the best I've ever seen, customs has it best. But I'm getting two full bodies and consume and two different heads with glass eyes and rooted hair and silicone skin for the cost of a fraction of a single head and even half a custom body.

I was never going to spend this kind of money on a 1/6 figure (except the perferct RoboCop, maybe), and the final result doesn't leave me feeling like I missed anything. The silicon gimmick seems novel, but I wouldn't want to be an early adopter of it for fear that it simply won't succeed.

At first glance, while Kojun seems to have the most detailed paintjob of the three available figures, I don't think it actually contributes to a better likeness. The outfits across the board seem pretty comparable to me, though I admit I'm not the best judge of that kind of tailoring--I just want the suit to have sharp lines and accurate scaling.

Meanwhile, I like the InArt for it's detailed seamless hands and accessories, but it's magnetic stand is awful and the paintjob on the head lacks detail. I think it has the best likeness of the three, but their implementation of moving eyes makes the eyes looks fake, unfortunately.

The HT's eyes are great and the tongue gimmick actually adds something, I think, but the likeness is a little weaker. I don't think there's any one area where it's the clear winner, but I also think it's flaws are less obvious than the InArt, so it's hard to judge.

No licensed company has nailed Ledger Joker. JND Kojun’s offering is horrible though, for the money. Imo, you’re better off not spending the money on it and make do with either Hot Toys or INART (for stock purposes).

I’m glad I don’t care for gimmicks in general. And JND Kojun’s draw is the silicone and I couldn’t care less. Both Kojun Joker portrait and outfit are bad. No sense in paying up for something that’s also inaccurate in many ways.

Based on all pics shown here sculpt is NOT better than InArt or HT. Really a letdown. I do like the look of the coat/vest materials used. Not enough to call this a knock out. Consider the cost and this is just a huge letdown.

You can put a great custom together for the cost of a single type A figure (or less).

John Wu's offering amazing work at a really good price. Best value I have seen in the space.

Maybe. If I went custom it would be yuan head and hair which I'm pretty sure is 1k or so. Then you need to get a body and the clothing, it would cost way more than the cost of this.

I don't really like any other customs outside of yuan.

Yuan and Heise are the best to ever do it. I just received my sculpt from Yuan 2 days ago (on Christmas day).

But John's work beats this as well.
That's what I meant. That you could build a custom for the same cost as this, if not less, that's still a lot better in my opinion.

You should review John Wu’s on instagram and maybe go outside ur comfort zone on having to Yuan do it. Just my 2 cents.

You’re better off finding someone selling a finished sculpt and negotiating with them than jumping on a commission line, too late to the game.

Unless you’re fine with receiving it as you’re watching The Batman II in theaters.

Same can be said about INART.
It's funny that you said there isn't much sense in paying up for something that's inaccurate, but you're fine with dropping $1k on two inaccurate figures? INART left more to be desired than JND, tailoring wise.

The amount of changes that need to be made to make INART's set somewhat movie accurate and look nice is bizarre (still not 100%, but a lot better). JND has a better base to work with, but also far from perfect.

And I'm not gonna blow smoke up JND's ass, I'm not impressed by what we've seen so far I had higher expectations. They gotta come with a stellar unboxing video for me to keep my order, I'm seriously considering to cancel this and eat a $200 NRD.

Sigh

I got my rooted 2-pack for $850 brand new/sealed. Then, I traded away the secondary figure and it’s related parts. So I basically got my purple coat rooted Joker for $425.

Not trying to kill your hype, but that narrative has to stop so people can know that top quality is "affordable" now.
Top tier custom headsculpt don't cost 3K anymore, you can get one for 450/500 nowadays.
