I think John's work on that sculpt (specifically Diostar's) is overall the best I've seen outside the harsh dramatic lighting.

But I still like the fidelity of Heise's painting. It's hard to put into words. I also like how he paints the white.

If I had it my way, I'd have Heise and John collaborate on painting my sculpt.

But for me, while it's hard to gauge these things (varies with different bodies), the sleeves appear to stop high around the wrist. It always bugs me (usually With pants as well).

A little more length to break or cover more of his hand would be best I think.

Brilliant work by them. I think the rooting alone would be worth the price for these, I don't see anyone do the lower hair curls better.

Only ever seen his photos after they've sold, though. No idea where they advertise the beginning run unless I've mistaken some advertising posts as completed runs.

For the time being I'm going to leave customs alone for Joker, don't want to delve to deep into it but it's good seeing you guys having a great time completing it. In all honesty I don't think any company will ever achieve what we're looking for in the likeness and details, you for sure won't get that level of messed up curls from a factory.

I can't see myself selling my sleepy spot with John for double the money, or even 3x I would imagine.

Not to mention it feels wrong. I'd be profiting off his back. But even ethics aside, I think it's really damn special. I'm glad you gave us all the nudge @DiostaR

You'd have to be deep soaked into the custom side of the hobby, and following all the right people to get an early whiff of these projects.

This thread is the best place to keep up with all the different runs actually. Because a lot of us here are keeping tabs usually.

There's barely any activity on OSC, this thread is more useful to collectors here than on the other site were there's only a minority of collectors that are already into custom.

As much as it's nice to have our little community I also like the fact that anyone can click on this thread and find plenty of informations on the Joker custom scene.
If we talk there we might not talk here you know ?

Let's just hope Nick comes back one day, maybe after a break.

yeah osc is pretty dead. you only have the odd usuals that come up and most of the time they're already in the loop when it comes to most custom stuff

one of these days both forums are gonna die if not kept up. the server needs donations to sustain and eventually that funnel isn't gonna come through. forums are just outddated— useful, but outdated. that's why I started to move towards discord or trying to grab the few people I liked talking to on discord because eventually, cf/osc wont be an active thing. even now, not many people post/share updates on osc. its 80% instagram

oh **** lol i didnt even realize you left earlier!

but yeah, you can go back and forth really quickly unlike here. i like the back and forth discussions compared to anywhere else. its small but better to keep it small or else things get out of hand with multiple conversations going at once and half of the time I'm just shitting on figures and critiquing them lol

some days are slow but that's just in the nature of the hobby when we mainly feed off of announcements, whether it be customs, 3rd party or hot toys
