I'm biased as i only got star man but im super happy with her. Her face is perfect, and her body feels like the high quality silica gel style seamless bodies. Similar to gametoys cloud and light/L

After seeing the broken PT Cammy bangs, this makes me more hesitant about hard sculpted bangs. I'm imagining my Starman Cammy being thankful that she has rooted hair and even though she fell over a couple times already, her bangs are still fine.

So I was thinking, with Starman Cammy's camo stickers, could you not apply them and then apply a thin coat of talcum/corn starch powder to reduce the shininess? Or would it ruin the sticker? I haven't applied mine yet, though I want to soon. If nobody else has tried or thought of this, I'll be the first to test it out soon lol

Is Xingman Starman? He called her face ugly.. really. 👀

I see that PT still kept the jelly foot.

The playtoy is clearly more muscular/defined, that's not even a debate. You're literally trying to argue black is white otherwise.

SM is softer, more booty, and exaggerated. PT has that muscle and more "realistic" proportions.

The biggest cons to me are the damn feet and now that hair fringe breaking.

I ordered the Playtoy, but I think the Starman looks great. Both are good.

PT Alpha looks better of the 2 versions.
The hats on both PT’s look cheap and ugly.
Sculpt i think PT looks better then Starman and agree the bangs too look easy to break.
The armguard looks cool.
I like the muscular legs, but I really really hate how big her uh… chest is. Not really proportionate to Cammy who has a smaller leaner body type.

Ordered the Playtoy as well. The chest is way too large on it compared to the Starman, which seems more accurate in that regard. After first initial looks, I would probably prefer to own the SM vs PT, but I will see if my thoughts change or I’m at least content once mine arrives.

Initially I choose the PT version because of the sculpted hair, but if the bangs are breaking that easy then I should have went with the all synthetic hair. Crossing my fingers it turns out fine.

Cammy Playtoy has arrived today from Giantoy. I went with the Alpha look cause Starman already nailed the sf6 classic look. But she arrived while im doing a photoshoot for Ada so Cammy gotta wait now lol

But here is my quick takeaway for this figure. Playtoy did a better job in adding the white powder for their silicone because is not sticky unlike their Chun-li arms they are sticky. Cammy eyes is a bit tough to move compare to their Chun-li. Cammy hat stays on with a magnet. Cammy will have plenty of black dirt/pieces from the foam/cushion that comes in the box but I brushed it away with a makeup brush. Her braids are not posable like Starman Cammy. Cammy sleeves are a bit puffy, wish it was a bit more tighter to her arms to give a better shape silhouette of her arms. And Im sure everybody knew this but her feet is still seamless so she will need some kind of support to have her standing.

Anyway here some unboxing quick pics. Will give her a proper photoshoot after Im done with Ada :)

Good to see the hair isn't broken... but man looking at how it is packed it still makes me nervous. Usually small parts like that are separate pieces that you plug in.

Oh yea thats what i forgot to add but my hair bang while is not broken I can def see a very small gap where is suppose to be attach to her head. I feel like I can actually pull the bang off with a bit of strength not saying you should lol . Also the hair bang material is like a flexible type plastic if anyone was wondering.

I would also like to chime in and say I, also got the Play Toy Alpha Cammy today from Giantoy and unfortunately, I bring bad news. After reading how Chinese users were having issues with their copies, somehow, I felt convinced I had to record my unboxing in case there was something wrong with my copy.. and sure enough, I was vindicated. Two main issues: the fringe on my copy did come in broken from the onset and the seamless body somehow has two left arms?! A total failure by Play Toy how not to properly package the sculpt when it features such a thin and fragile hair piece. When I opened the box, the head was twisted all the way to one side and quite likely during the shipment process snapped off during transit. As for the two left arms, I have no idea how that occurred and I am baffled how that passed. Lastly, it is a miss that the braids did not come wired like the Star Man as they really help really sell action poses. I already reached out to Giantoy for a replacement but, most likely if they are able to assist, I will have to wait until after Chinese New Year.

Aside from those huge issues, I do have some positives with the piece. I generally like the sculpt and the mixed materials for the hair does not bother me. As mentioned by Danhilo, Play Toy listened to the criticism and treated the body where it no longer has a sticky texture like their Chun-Li release. The tattoos being placed on the body is a huge plus though, I do wonder about its longevity whenever collectors want to pose the figure. The facial scar is more noticeable and prominent on their sculpt which I like. The tailoring of the clothing is good for the most part, they appear accurate to the character including the asymmetrical gauntlet but, due to how FG are structured, the arm it appears on is dependent on which side (Left or Right) you fight on. So, I am unsure where it is canonically supposed to be located.

I would write more but, I got to catch a movie shortly. I would be weary on how Play Toys package their next Cammy figure and I hope they learn something from this batch.

To sum it all, mine came with two defects, I contacted the shop to get a replacement, there are some notable positives which deserve to be mentioned on this flawed release.

Shoulder joints on seamless bodies can get rotated weird and wind up backwards like this, I had a (much smaller) similar issue with my starman Chun Li. It likely happened before the clothes were put on and the factory worker was too careless to notice. You should be able to rotate it back into the correct position, although I imagine the clothes will make this difficult if not impossible, so you'd probably want to take the clothes off first.

Play Toy has to learn from this and make sure their upcoming SF6 Cammy's bangs won't break during transit. If it's not naturally detachable, they should just make it be detachable as that will at least allow the thing to be packed separately so it won't get banged up and break while it's traveling the world.
