That looks amazing ! ! Which comes to my point about what I said about most of the earlier photos and reviewers doing a horrible job on the hair when displaying the figure. I get it... the excuse can be.. "we want to review it fairly and show you what you get out of the box". Yeah yeah.. whatever.
Opened my figure yesterday and think it is amazing. Out of the box, the un-styled hair is kinda ugly to my eyes but it is almost exactly like the prototype so Sideshow still delivered what they promised ! !
Out of the box it looked like this
It took me about 30 mins to fiddle with the hair, Just water on the finger tips, actually pulled a few strands out by accident... no biggie, not noticeable with the abundance of hair this comes with.
Trimmed some hair off the top. To my eyes, the silhouette of the head looks like a christmas tree. Few long strands of hair sticking up on the top, less hair on the corners of the dome, long hair sticking out on both sides and a mullet long hair at the bottom. In fact, essentially what Sideshow did with their sculpted hair version in terms of the hair shape.
Even the cartoon follows that hairstyle. Mullet without alot hair on top.
But also like Heath Ledger Joker.. if you obsess over the hairstyle.. well yeah it is kind of different from scene to scene so pick the one you like and try your best. The hairstyle Sideshow gave us is probably closest to the hair of the Beetlejuice Snake more then anything.

Talk is cheap. Here are photos of mine. If anyone wants to trash me go ahead. Was pretty rude what I said last time, you reap what you sow.
But it is a beautiful figure, and it irritates me that some can’t bother to take some time and just regular water to bring it to its potential. Water ! Just water !! And in my case maybe a little trim.

Just a quick bit of futzing, does anyone else's neck peg not move? I've got no tilt just wondering if that was common.
Honestly I'm impressed minus the price! This thing is brilliant I'm actually impressed with Sideshows efforts.

I'm so glad the overall response has been positive now that people have this in hand and have given it a bit of futzing. It really brings out the likeness and attitude.

I think the gel / hairspray mixed with water is optional. It can hold the shape stronger, but its not a 100% must because it seems there is a very light layer sprayed on the hair already. No where close to like InArt levels of hairspray... my Aragon's hair was hard as a ROCK. Adding hair product kind of adds to the greasy look if thats what you want.
However.. Beetlejuice's hair looked a little more "dry" rather than greasy. Dark Knight Joker.. now that looked greasy...
What's the worse that can happen? It won't look worse i can tell you that... hahahhaa... just be gentle and patient. Like I mentioned, for me, I accidentally pulled out a few hair clumps, but again.. there is so much hair it won't have an akward bald spot or anything. Be patient, if you have tweezers even better, if you don't then just use your finger tips... Have a small bowl of water next to you, dab your fingers, pinch and pull, and repeat. Or brush water, separate the hair clumps with a tweezer.
This is ideal, and has multiple uses especially for 1/6 collecting like adjusting clothes, putting on things like a belt, shirt collars (especially after replugging a head into body with a shirt and suit).

Yup, I tried moving the neck for my pics. And couldn't really get any movement at the base where in meets the body.

The photos it seems like the fat suit throwing the proportions off a little. I know he’s supposed to have a bit of a pudgy belly, I wonder if it could be modified to look more natural. Maybe I’m wrong tho haha I’ll have to wait and see it in hand.

Fat suit is removable it's just a padded piece by feel of it.
I don't love the price but I do love the figure! I hope IT turns out equally as good, especially with 2 sculpts etc. I do wish they'd be more creative with the bases.

That’s my biggest gripe about SS figures, is their stands. I wish the print was more legible.Fat suit is removable it's just a padded piece by feel of it.
I don't love the price but I do love the figure! I hope IT turns out equally as good, especially with 2 sculpts etc. I do wish they'd be more creative with the bases.

The figure arrived yesterday from Sideshow and I am very happy with how it looks. The body is pretty good and the sculpt is great. The hair is thick and laying down towards the back out of the box so you definitely need to take about 60 seconds to wet and style but it’s very simple. I feel like the original figure had thicker suit material as the new suit seems a little thin but you can’t tell unless you have them side by side. Great pickup but a bit overpriced. I only paid about $155 after using my sideshow points…
