I have a set of bootlegs Turtles too. The ones I have are missing the shoulder hinges, biceps swivels, and finger articulation. If your figures are similar to mine they are probably knock offs.

yep Tesio is right. the ooze flinger heads are much closer to how they look on the new show. same deal with the stealth figures. i used the stealth head for donatello and if you look closely you can see there's a purple T phone in his hand. i cut it off his stealth belt. i hope they start...

just opened my comic-con shredder, got it signed by kevin michael richardson. the figure is really cool but they cut out the elbow articulation but still better than the regular version. there's more paint apps and the vac metal armor looks cool.

mikey's head popped off easily, raph's kind of easily, but donnie and leo's heads needed to be dremeled out so they'd fit. for some dumb reason the ball joints are not all the same size. i just found the stealth turtles tonight. the stealth donnie head is slightly bigger but the sculpt looks...

here's my custom turtles so far. head swapped the originals with the ooze flingers. donatello kind of sucks, but i like the others way better. i hope playmates makes a cool gapped tooth donnie soon. probably going to give raph a more show accurate paint job at some point.

thanks skull. my cousin had a poster of that when we were kids. i always thought is was an amazing illustration. i know it was reprinted in one of the turtles trade paperbacks recently but could never find where it originally came from.

yeah, campbell's artwork is awesome. i'm going to have to find that Leo book. does anyone know who illustrated this? it's from the 80's and i can't read the signature.

that's what i think of the classics turtles too. articulation is clunky and obvious and they don't really match the show very well. they are also an odd scale, kind of like those bandai thundercats. i passed on them and i'm not sure if i'll pick up bebop or rocksteady either. i wish...

thats' what i thought. so "splinter" was his name back in japan now? not a huge deal i think the new cartoon is great, mostly. i hope baxter gets turned into a fly at some point and bebop & rocksteady make a cameo...

does anyone know why in the new cartoon shredder calls hamato yoshi "splinter"? was that his nickname back in japan? i thought only the turtles, april, leatherhead, and ratking new hamato yoshi is a rat called splinter. just wondering if i missed some back story or some other detail.

the rat king episode was awesome. really great story telling, splinter keeps getting better and better.
