Hi all, Just wanted to post some pics of my Aragorn that I customized a bit. Nowhere near the rebuild level of my Eowyn but it still got more involved than I expected. Swapped the body, re-dyed the shirt, cut and styled the hair, touched up the beard, remade all the cording on the clothes...

That looks fantastic, great job SithThundercracker! Just goes to show how a little work can really make this figure shine. It's remarkable how shortening the legs really makes a difference. That cape is also much better; glad my tips were helpful!

Unfortunately there is no way to remove the cuirass without cutting it. Just use a sharp x-acto and slice along the joint where they glued it on the left side. On my earlier posts showing the baldric WIP sitting on the loose cuirass you can see where I cut it. Once you get some separation you...

Just received mine from SkywalkerKush and this is an awesome figure! The only thing I might change is swapping the body for a more poseable, smaller chested one (this one's a little hulky) and using real feet in the boots. Also might try to remove the weathering from the cloak but we'll see...

Interesting how Asmus actually admitted that they deliberately softened the vinyl in the cuirass. So it wasn't a QC problem, they added too much plasticizer on purpose which explains the stickiness and why the paint I applied on the belt never dried. If you look at their pics on that page you...
