Hey all, I've had my First Avenger Cap for almost a year and the shield is flaking off, the red area. Same with my Avengers Cap. I already know about the TS-79 coat, but I want to fix the shield color. How would I pursue this? Should I get paint to only cover up the spots? Or is it better...

Anyone know if there's any way to buy Hot Toys Prototype figures, like ones displayed at conventions and stores and so on? Is it even possible. About 7/10 times the prototype ends up looking better than the original final product. In my opinion anyways. Just curious.

Any particular type of red paint recommend? And if I were to paint it, would it be better to get rid of the whole red area and repaint it?

Do you know what kind of paint I'd have to use, I read the link you posted, but I wondering if there is a certain paint I could buy and fix up, and then coat it with TS-79.
