Nothing new from me today, waiting to find a good body for this guy.....might be a couple weeks before anything new happens with it...... then again, I may dedicate myself to improving it before I have the body..... still need a boot pattern, if anybody's got one, please post a link.......

I saw pics of the Zizzle Davy Jones somewhere, during SDCC, and it is my opinion that it isn't worth getting..... everything from the waist down is sculpted (not fabric), and so the joints are obvious, and clunky....... the coat is inaccurate, as it is made to accomodate the crab claw (in the...

as great as this figure looks, I don't see anything justifying a $150 price tag...... what am I missing that sets this apart from the stuff Sideshow is doing?

I like the Medicom one, but it's about $100 too expensive..... I'm currently re-working the Zizzle one, and it's coming out fantastic...... just because it's Japanese doesn't make it better......

Man, I'm loving this thread......getting to see other collectors re-work their Jack Sparrows, and getting help from those who've already completed their customs...... here's an update......I 'dirtied' up the head some! also, I agree, We'd love a hair tutorial......I have bags of the stuff...

Tried to get a couple of closeups of the head: Even Clearer Shot: any suggestions? EDIT: I've significantly re-done the face, completely re-painted the eyes (since that last pic above), most of the details are more subdued, and I've worked on making the face a little more flush...
