Hot Toys Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) - Spider-Man: No Way Home

I gave this figure the lambasting it deserves when it came out, but it's ... just okay if you get a decent copy, sad to say. There's the rub, QC is very inconsistent and even at its best it's a series of missed opportunities.

    Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

I had actually bought one, and still think it's a very good figure, but ultimately it didn't make the cut for me like R2 did. While they won't fix the head sculpt I think waiting may be a good call on your part.

The Penguin (The Batman) limited series | HBO Max

You're not wrong. With this iteration of the Batman universe, the one thing that seems to be hitting perfectly is Gotham. Atmospherically and physically, the depiction of this place; Arkham, Blackgate, the streets ... it seems to seep into the characters. Like they've manifested as a true...

The Penguin (The Batman) limited series | HBO Max

I wonder what Batman has been up to for 6 episodes? Thing about this show --- it still really feels like Gotham to me.

Hot Toys 1992 Batman Returns 2.0

The most likely changes would be getting rid of the PERS hatch and giving it a new and improved cape. I don't see much else likely.

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

Did your Enterbay figure have a guarantee of any kind? In this particular case, I feel like Joost did himself more harm than good divulging the 'official guarantee' which would probably have a margin of error built in plus whatever the company deems reasonable in terms of dealing with customers...

    Superman (July 11th, 2025)

We had dark, angst-ridden edge-y Superman in a 'real world'. Given that this has come before, Gunn's track record and the character's original, wholesome apple-pie nature, seeing Krypto doesn't surprise me and I wonder if we'll get more sweetness than snark this time around.

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

I'm thinking both DX versions. Don't need the diorama, not like I'd actually use it. Ow! My wallet! But still. As a Canadian do I only order via OneSixthKit or can I order directly from JazzInc.? Either one will do, just thinking about what's fastest and possibly more economical, but at these...

    Avengers: Endgame

Okay, okay ... fair enough. This phrasing may sway me.

No sir. Don't buy it. :duff

Hot Toys: The Avengers: Tony Stark (Mark VII suit up version)

I do quite like the sculpt. *Edit: although upon further inspection, they're a bit too generous with the hair.

    Avengers: Endgame

I think the version we got was the right choice. Warriors don't get to choose how they go out, so no blaze of glory. Besides, the deleted scene (in spite of this being a ridiculous comic book movie etc.) is too unbelievable for my taste: They're both out in the open, sitting ducks outnumbered...

Dune Part Two (October 20th, 2023)

Being a fan of the Bene Gesserit I think the series has potential. It hinges on good writing of course, but I'm more than willing to give it a chance.

Dune Part Two (October 20th, 2023)

I probably said it not long ago in this thread, but I think ultimately the story would be better served by a high budget, HBO-style streaming series. With the kind of long-form storytelling out there now, you could do it justice.

Dune Part Two (October 20th, 2023)

I agree. It lacked a visceral, brutal component. The large scale fight scenes left me especially cold and yeah, I get it -- elite of the elite bla bla bla but the way some of the main characters cut through enemies like they were video game NPCs took away the stakes. I haven't seen Gladiator in...

    Joker: Folie à Deux

I didn't like the first film. While I thought it was technically well-made, I remember describing it as bleak in a cynical, empty, nasty and uniquely post-modern way ... I've never re-watched it. After perusing all this I'm definitely not wasting my time on the second. For me this all amounts...

    Anyone familiar with MODUCASE?

Well, on the one hand many people here obviously received their product, so you will too. My experience with them after only one or two exchanges about a custom set some years ago, was that their communication sucked and I didn't like the idea of having to chase someone to give them my money...

    Megalopolis (May 17, 2024)

Trailer, at least ... looks more interesting than most of what Hollywood's putting out these days. I have no expectations; will check it out.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

The stock cape is a little thin, but it can be made to drape. Note that while the infamous texture is definitely visible (Avocado! Oatmeal! Etc!) I have the figure in front of me, and iPhone photos do tend to exaggerate it relative to what I see with my own eyes. But yeah, of course it's a...
