    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Serious question, salty as it sounds: am I the only one who would have liked these things to remain a mystery? Things met in the dark void that instilled utter horror and remained a cold, merciless and unknown quantity? Instead of endless LORE that diminishes them with each outing?

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I'd watch the hell out of that.

    Jazzinc 1/6 Batman 1989 Batmobile

I can't remember where I saw it, probably in the original thread but there was a fix for it. No electronics are bulletproof and failure is always possible.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

It was gross but mainly...just dumb.

    Daredevil Born Again (Disney+) - Spring 2024

It does. This is the first Marvel project I've been excited for in years. Based on the trailer, anyway.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Most of the time when 'lore evolves' it gets over-complicated and/or loses the element of mystery ... I can't get behind the origin story presented to us. Personally I think it's a mess. But having these things on the loose and widespread would make for an interesting problem and some horrific...

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

This thread gives me whiplash every time I read it. The above quotes basically encapsulate the last 70 pages or so :lol ... I still quite like it and still consider it an overall improvement in spite of some obvious flaws. And I've owned both DX09 and Returns so I'm not driving blind. Of...

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

I don't know how big Superman: The Movie really was; surely not as big as Star Wars at any rate, although if memory serves there was a lot of buzz surrounding the film and Cracked (or was it Mad) magazine targeted him for a parody -- Super Duper Man or some such.

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

Fair. So the decision to be made is whether we're sticking to speculative fiction (fantasy & sci-fi) or including action heroes in general. In which case we have to keep spies and detectives and adventurers in, and Sam Spade gets in. The attempted exercise is to find the *one* that had the most...

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

Yeah, that makes sense. He's more of an antihero but guess he kinda straddles the line a bit.

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

I've never actually seen the film, but I know Bogart was huge. I forgot Pirates completely. I guess we need to add in Indiana Jones ... the categories can't always be singular because there are certain eras wherein we had an embarrassment of cinematic riches. I'd agree. Really? Not sure I...

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

I'm leaning towards Logan or Spidey, but as far as being influential or a 'household name' maybe its actually Deadpool given how unexpected it was at the time. LOL at the Rey inclusion. :ROFLMAO:

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

Well, we need a separate category for anti-heroes and villains.

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

I want to say Black Panther ... his influence was so sadly cut short.

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

Back at it. So what I'm trying to pin down is a singular character that dominated pop cultural consciousness or heavily influenced it, in cycles running approximately every 6-10 years. 1920 - Zorro 1930 - Flash Gordon (3 film serials, '36, '38, '40) 1940 - According to Wikipedia, sales of...

Ah, an optimist I see. :lol Seriously though, I hope you're right. :duff

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

At least it's not Tom Cruise.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

I feel like 2.0 and DX09 are neck and neck. The DX09 is evocative and moody, the 2.0 seems to have more realism especially owing to modern manufacturing.
