JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

I continue to be amazed at just how different the blue colour appears in all the photos I'm seeing. The photo on the left was shot by Jim Bowers at Capedwonder.com and he used a Nikon professional camera rather than phone camera. The colour on his photo looks WAY more accurate to the colour of...

JND Studios: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 1:3 Harrison Ford and Sean Connery

I really do hope they have listened carefully to all the comments and studied the suggested alterations with an open mind to make the changes that are required. I don't think they take everything on board though because months ago after the re-order reveal for Reeve Superman, I did make an...

They are updating the portrait (and hopefully other parts) to bring it up to the same level of excellence as Henry. It probably means it will be delayed but I don't have any problem with that if what we get at the end is as good as we were all hoping it should have been in the first place.

Oh no. Really sorry to hear that TexasfI3nd. They absolutely should replace that without any questions. Hope it gets sorted out for you ASAP so you can get back to enjoying the piece.

Strange that the "maroon" appearance of the red isn't showing up in your photos @Supernoldy73 Here's a photo of some authentic fabric which does have a bit of a maroon appearance though. This was from Propstore's of full original costume that was displayed at the Movieum in London a few years ago.

What a great couple of posts to wake up to. Thanks @Supernoldy73 and @TexasFi3nd for your much appreciated first impressions and photos. Hope these turned out to be the grail pieces you were hoping for? They look amazing in your photos! :)

Work can wait. They'll understand. LOL

Great visual review of the statue and I'm slightly encouraged to see the part where he said the head needed to be pushed down a bit (and seemed to be a bit loose so they could put the cape on). The cape is the ONLY thing I'm slightly disappointed with on this so if it is indeed possible to pull...

TexasFi3nd - where you at? I hope you're not suffering from buyers remorse now you've opened your JND Reeve and instead are just basking in its awesomeness and have lost track of time?! LOL. Look forward to hearing your reaction to seeing it.

It sure did. Absolutely superb looking piece. I'm very thankful that I didn't go for the Sideshow PF (although I do think the cape was done a bit more accurately on the Sideshow PF).

The sculpted costume detailing is truly phenomenal. It's SO accurate and realistic looking. Even the best costume maker couldn't make a true scaled replica of the full size costume that looks as authentic as this. The way they've made it fit the form of the "body" underneath, the wrinkles...

No, he had them made from wood to match the style

This collector decided to put Clark and Superman onto their own separate bases as if JND had released them both separately. Awesome!

I think they got REALLY close with this. Same statue, different lighting. I personally think that when this statue is on your shelf / display cabinet and is not being micro-scrutinised side-by-side with a photo of Reeve, it will look absolutely perfect.

Going OT for this thread, but I can't find any other in-hand photos of the Prime 1 Keaton Batman apart from the ones you've shown here csutkakoma. Have these not generally been shipped yet or are people just not wanting to show photos of them due to disappointment?

Here's a good example of how NOT to take a photo! Excellent example on the left compared to horribly lit with terrible lens distortion on the right!

Yes, I'm with you on the issues regarding Prime 1 / Blitzway's lack of being able to provide a production piece that is in the same league as the prototype. I NEARLY pushed the button on purchasing their Keaton Batman / Bruce Wayne, but having seen how the cowl looks on the Batman, I decided not...
