I prefer my custom i made a few years ago. I rather they just re-cast the CM gear and armor and just sold it as a "Space Soldier". I would buy ten of them.

Apologies for the lack of updates, i was on holiday for a few weeks (first in 4 years) plus, it took a bit of time to get back in the groove. Making the seat runners. Attached to the seat base. The centre section will be screwed to the floorpan.

A genuine Dallas body would be very hard to find and would almost certainly have issues with the knees. The early HT bodies were really bad for this.

The head is off, but the rest looks great. It probably wouldn't be too hard to replace the face with one of the many Arnie heads out there.

Is there a build thread for this anywhere?

After much filling and sanding, and I'm happy with the overall shape, I use a Dremel to cut a groove around the edges. I glue lengths of electrical wire all round to represent piping. The backrest panel has more piping added as well. This is screwed in from behind to complete the seat.

This does look good, but i already have my Tamashii Nations version. If it had interchangeable hips to allow a sitting pose, i would definitely bite.

Done some more work to the seat. It's slow going. Added the centre section. The side bolsters are built up with scraps of plasticard, then filled in. Partially sanded, then started on the backrest hinges. Building up the sides. The side bolsters are done the same way. The centre...

Now that I have Wez pretty much how I want him, I can get back to work on the car. Mounts for the dashboard made. Started work on the seat base.

Much better. What kind of paint did you use for the red? I think you need to touch up his eyebrows and beard slightly, as they have rubbed off a little.

I've grown tired of waiting for official releases. As these movies and collectors get older, I'll take what I can get. There could be perfect sculpts and tailoring in an official release 20 years from now, but what's the point, if my eyesight has deteriorated by then?

I'm more annoyed at issues on big, expensive things, like the PT2 DeLorean. For a cheap figure like this, it's not so bad. Coming up with fixes, is what makes us grow. I'm really happy with mine now and am glad to have him in the collection. I'm hoping, by supporting the line, we get more releases.

Did some more tweaks to the figure. I removed the T-shirt (makes the muscles more visible) and repainted the head, to cover up the red staining. I forgot to paint the white stripe on his forehead. I think I will also make an exhaust stack pipe for him, as he brandishes one as a weapon in some...

I'm not convinced. A really good sculpt just leaps out at you, not kinda, sorta looks like him.

Did some mods to my Wez. First thing was a body swap with the JX Toys Muscular body, of which i had a spare. The arms are thicker and give him more bulk. Losing the double jointed elbows aren't too important, as that normally only matters when holding a rifle. To bulk out the shoulder pads...

Cutting out the openings for the gauges and switches. Temporarily fitted into the dash and added the side details.

It might be easier to just find another set of boots, with standard sockets.

Completed the basic shape of the dashboard. Making one of the 2 gauge clusters. Cutting out the openings in the instrument panel. Gauges fitted. After cutting away the excess and sanding down. Just some filler needed now.
