  1. Marine Boy

    Mars Toys James Bond Line

This is most welcome news, seeing as BCS' releases were a bit hit and miss. I hope they give us something beyond Bonds in Tuxedos.
  2. Marine Boy

1/6 Premier Toys - PT-0006 The Martian Version 2 (Deluxe Edition)

I wish a 3rd party would recast the HT Alien space suits and give us the Lambert and Ripley figures we're missing. Even better, make them from fabric.
  3. Marine Boy

1/6 Premier Toys - PT-0006 The Martian Version 2 (Deluxe Edition)

Just pre-ordered with OSK, as I prefer the 2nd head.

1/6 Premier Toys - PT-0006 The Martian Version 2 (Deluxe Edition)

That looks amazing, but their recent Wez figure seemed to lose a lot from prototype to production. I'd be in for some Interstellar suits, as well as the ones from Prometheus.
  5. Marine Boy

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Constructing the dashboard. It's an odd shape, so it's going to take a while.
  6. Marine Boy

1/6 Premier Toys - The Marauder (Mad Max 2 Wez)

i think it looks decent. They should have given him a rubber torso sleeve, to add a little girth and hide the visible gaps around his waist area. The leather is always going to be a compromise, make it thin enough and we complain about durability issues.
  7. Marine Boy

Hot Toys Back to the Future II - 1/6th scale DeLorean Time Machine

If you touch the hood repeatedly in the same spot, you'll end up wearing away the paint in that area.
  8. Marine Boy

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Front suspension is now complete, after adding the steering rack and cross bracing. I normally add microswitches on the steering rack, to turn on the indicators, but that seems irrelevant in a post apocalyptic wasteland.
  9. Marine Boy

1/6 108 TOYS "Face change" Face-off Sean Archer & Castor Troy

Not bad, just not sure i like the movie enough to get them. If we're doing John Woo, how about JCVD from Hard Target?
  10. Marine Boy

PRESENT TOYS 1:6 Collectible Doll Series "Crazy Warrior" (Mad Max)

It's a good starting point for a Thunderdome custom.
  11. Marine Boy

    Dark Toys 1/6 Rick Deckard

No apologies needed. You now need the original 1/1 blaster, to complete your display.
  12. Marine Boy

Hot Toys Back to the Future II - 1/6th scale DeLorean Time Machine

My DeLorean has not arrived yet, but looking at pictures, i think it should be possible to install a repair plate. Made from metal about 1mm thick and attaches with the existing screw and 2 additional ones. Install one on each side (2 per wheel). Painted black, i don't even think it's...
  13. Marine Boy

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Shock absorbers made and fitted. The shocks are attached with a screw, passing through the shock towers. On it's own wheels for the first time. The front end is sagging just a little, so i will fit stronger springs, or fit spacers at the top of the shocks. Here it is parked next to...
  14. Marine Boy

1/6 Premier Toys - The Marauder (Mad Max 2 Wez)

The Humungus would be an easy release for Premier Toys, as he has a minimalist costume and no headsculpt as such. Source a suitable body from Phicen, make a few accessories and the job's done.
  15. Marine Boy

Mars Toys 1/6 Prank Villain (Three versions of Cesar Romero's Joker)

I love the mask he's wearing, as if the white face, green hair and purple suit aren't distinctive enough.
  16. Marine Boy

    A few stats for you: Length - 87cm Width - 48cm Height - 29cm Weight - 9.5 kg Parts used LEDs - 66 LED strips - 11 EL wire - 4 EL panels - 4 Linear actuators - 5 Cost to build (approx) Plasticard sheet - £120 Plastic / metal beams - £40 Tyres - £30 Linear actuators (X5) - £125 Vacforming...

1/6 Scale Blade Runner Spinner scratchbuild (Complete!)

Some videos to show the motorised features in operation. I swapped the electric window motor previously used, for 3 linear actuators (2 at the front, 1 at the rear). This was to make the transition more gradual. IRL, these parts are quite big, so they would not move so quickly. The change...

1/6 Scale Blade Runner Spinner scratchbuild (Complete!)

Thanks for all the comments! Much appreciated. Here are a few shots of the interior, without the figures in place. My original plan was to fit a photo viewer in the central screen to show various images. Unfortunately, when viewed off centre, the screen just looked like a white light, so i just...
  19. Marine Boy

1/6 Scale Mad Max V8 Interceptor (scratchbuild)

Building the front suspension. The overall layout follows the real car, but the parts are very simplified. Next step is to make some functional shock absorbers.
