Star Wars: Andor (April 22, 2025)

Yeah but after Andor then what for SW? I seriously would like more Obi-Wan, but no rumors on that score. There's the Mando movie then what.

    Asmus Toys - Thranduil

Works for me. Even WETA incorporates plastics.

Star Wars: Andor (April 22, 2025)

https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2024/11/andor-d23-brazil-brings-first-look-at-cassian-in-season-2.html HT must be rubbing their hands in glee with this and the Mando film.

    Asmus Toys - Thranduil

Yep. 2 antler pieces, nested. One throne piece, or make the back separate so it plugs into the chair. All plastic. Poly stairs. Wouldn't be that different than any other 1/6, or a Phicen with a big polystone base. Ship in foam. Not that different from ASMUS' Hateful Eight diorama. I don't...

    Asmus Toys - Thranduil

They had talked about it before. Concerns over weight and shipping costs. At the time the throne would have been 500 or so. I think they should do it anyway; make the upper portion plastic and lower stairs poly. Phicen has put out some big bases, very nice; IMO no different than including a...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I'm happy enough with mine at this point. For folks who have smaller waves than mine, Aragon has looked like that too. Some nice hair jobs here. I'd give him a wash and try hair relaxer over an expensive re-root job if I wanted silky mostly straight hair. Far as I can tell he only looked that...

    Questions for Asmus

I think they should sell the original Amon Hen separately. As it is, I've picked up bases from Lucifer and Phicen, over time. Needless to say, a Bag End door would be most welcome.

    1/6 Hot Toys - DX26 - Obi-Wan Kenobi Series : Obi-Wan Kenobi

Got a notice from Sideshow my DX is in warehouse, and I could pay off - so I did. I'll have options to mess about with my ROTS Obi and the Sideshow Obi. (y) Also, I hate getting shipments in during the holiday rush, that's when temporary postal workers get hired and I've had some minor mail...

    1/6 Hot Toys - TMS112 - Ahsoka series: Chopper

Chopper irritably waving his arms and swearing :monkey3 is how I feel about life in general.:lol My new Chopper came from Target, will need to set him up.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I already think in time I'll be replacing straps - the very thin I think bonded leather, or pleather, that allows for stamping in detailed patterns may peel. I just hope the vambraces hold up. I can deal with the hands but the wrist magnets were wasted here. Don't see the paint is any better...

    1/6 Hot Toys - TMS112 - Ahsoka series: Chopper

The HASBRO looks surprisingly good - am sure the HT is very nice, but good to have a budget option, especially if you are handy with paint and can do some touching up.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Haven't checked recently. Or, they want you to go through your retailer. Either way, IMO, their customer service isn't "premium" - more like folks who want to hang onto every penny, no matter what. If nothing else, IMO people should go through a trusted retailer and make use of their credit...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Thanks! yeah I snapped that shot after messing with ASMUS hands so he could hold a mug...vaguely thinking of the Prancing Pony or being on the watch of the Shire. My hair will NEVER look like a lot of the pics here - the fiber mine has seems more coarse with larger waves, and it's a lot of hair...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Yeah, at least for me. Also, you hear so much hype, InArt has so much hype with their little video and all, and then - depending on what you look for in a figure value/cost - well, IMO some things could be improved. Also InArt doesn't apparently open their arms to customers with issues. That...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Think it depends on the guy. Like, the guy next door waxes his car to a showroom shine, buffs offs water spots - it's the only car in the neighborhood where the water actually beads up. 😁 But think of it this way - somewhere out there, in the dark of night, someone is out there with a bottle...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Congrats.... InArt does use some incredible glue, and mohair is a tough fiber...but on the other hand, as one who had to spend hours on the hair and is still waiting on a Ranger cloak - as well as picking up some ASMUS hands as these hands are are so stiff (haven't worked with those yet) -...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

I think the ASMUS HD is good enough - fantastic value for the price...... To me it's more - is this Legolas fantastic enough to justify the price tag. Based on a rather dubious experience with Aragorn; no. Yes, there are some nice things going on, like with Aragorn; but looks like they are...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

For me it's a combination of enjoying that extra step in miniature - like a 1/6 scale book prop is fine, but it's way cooler when it can be opened and there's print/pictures there - and just irritation at InArt hyping themselves then dropping the ball. But, my curiosity satisfied and I have a...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

Just guessing but not only are the boots unique with the way the fabric wraps the calf, there's script decoration. E.g. materials, time, labor.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Legolas 1:6

I sure don't feel like Inart Aragon is "definitive". Too many IMO reasonably easy things that could have been corrected were not. I needed a Ranger Aragorn and was curious about Inart. Legolas might be definitive if they fix some things. Thorin, Nazgul, maybe. But there's no reason for Inart...
