Go look at the covers of the volumes for BTAS and tell me there’s not a DC logo slapped on it. Go look at the posters for Joker 2 and let me know if you see a DC logo on any of them.

I’d agree if Arthur was the Joker, but he’s not the Joker. :lol The film is clear on that, he’s not the Joker and never was going to be the Joker. Arthur literally tells us this in the courtroom. The ending tells us this when he gets shanked. The Joker did not get *****, Arthur did.

I don’t know what kind of theater you’re going to, but I profoundly remember gasps/jump scare noises and then a theater quieter than I’ve ever heard. No one in my two showings laughed or clapped at that scene.

I’d much rather them cut that scene where he admits there never was a Joker, does some Joker thing in the courtroom instead, courtroom bomb blows up, Joker gets up and walks out of the rubble, cut to black. But we didn’t get that because “There never was a Joker”.

This movie was destined to bomb and be torn apart the moment it was announced. A sequel we didn’t need, and on top of that they announce that it’s a musical. They set out from the beginning to make something that wasn’t what the fans wanted/expected. We can complain about it all we want, but...
