    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

BR2049 is indeed a cinematic masterpiece, not one flaw. :duff

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

It doesn’t shock me at all with various opinions, by all means to each their own. :lol I do agree that his recent films have that “shock” ending- but that’s what’s make them great. You know it’s coming but not how or why they’re coming. There’s plenty of films with endings like that and the...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

About $22 Million an episode give or take the finale, I’d like to see Cannibal Campout 2-8 made with that budget. We may even get a Hawt Toy out of em’.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

They had to Pay George for the B-Roll prequel footy. That man drinks the finest wines with his Big Mac’s.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Jeremy caught that and it made me chuckle, he was totally right. Looked like a PS2 game. :lol

It served the Spidey-Verse. :lecture Amazing films.

MCU jesus indeed, :lol I have a lot of hype/hope, but not much for what comes after. A true classic, but not in my top 5. :monkey1

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

I get why some praise them, the style just does not appeal to me. Give me Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time, Django etc. He can keep Kill Bill, Death Proof, Planet Terror.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

I can’t take anyone seriously when they say Tarantino is “garbage”. You either have a short attention span or just wanting to have a different opinion. I love *most* of his movies, the character pieces he’s done are some of the best films ever made. The Kill Bill volumes I don’t include in that.

Hey now, Deadpool is here to save it. :lol

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

PT dialogue is wooden, I’ll give ya that. Though I don’t think it’s near as wooden as this.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

It honestly reminded me of those Star Wars hotel ads the way it’s filmed, but with digital grain added in. :lol

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Comparing this to the PT is a crime in itself. The PT had at least good visuals, fun saber battles etc. I think most would agree with that. This is like a CW Crouching Tiger, Hidden Jedi. Does not work at all, though I did enjoy *some* of it. And will watch it from week to week (my wife...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I’m glad someone else noticed the “grain”. I was wondering if my TV/D+ didn’t want to play in dolby vision. :lol

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

Mine was preparing to ship, shipped Monday and got it today. Probably the fastest turn around time i’ve got from SS. Curious as I orders an “in stock” art print from them three weeks ago too, and it shipped/arrived with Vader.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

I have. Check out the absolute massive sandworm rig they made for Dune Pt. 2, amazing stuff - filmmaking at its peak breaking new ground. The labor and planning to do something like that practical is insane. It blows away any set-piece Furiosa even attempts.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

The biggest flaw Furiosa has as that he just dropped all the practical effects he used. Dune had a perfect blend of the two, like Fury Road.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Now you’re just hating. The score was absolutely beautiful. One of Hans’ best. Furiosa is packed full of cheap CGI and cartoonish looking animation. Dune’s visuals look like paintings on a big screen, not a video game. Furiosa is a good fun movie, and it’s grown on me a lot - but to...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Watched it this morning, he’s always my go to reviewer and has been for years now. At least since since Peter Rallis and “Movie Buzz” went downhill/extinct. I sometimes disagree with him but he’s usually got good points.
