Facepool tends to suffer with lackluster paint apps on the head sculpts. They don't even reach the level of the prototypes. The one that immediately comes to mind is their "Winters" figure from "Band of Brothers". That prototype paint app was amazing. What we got was considerably less...
Mine should be arriving by end of the week (I hope...) Can't wait to see it in hand.
I mentioned it before, but it really is a satisfying feeling to be able to consider a specific collection as "completed".
I'm ordering some of those acrylic risers from Amazon. I just prefer to display the car at a higher level in order to show off more of the lighting underneath and give a better impression of it hovering.
Please keep tweaking these sculpts. They are looking good and just need a few touches here and there.
Also, good find on the Ro pic, Skyroes. Shows perfectly what still needs some work, as you pointed out.
Definitely needs some tweaks but so far, it looks amazing.
I'm just not interested enough in the Hobbit line to pick this up. Staying with the LOTR line, for now...
Curious selection to go with. Not a figure I need to replace, especially for $400+, but I'm sure that there are some big fanatics of the character out there.
The sculpts do look very good in these renders. In regards to Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres, if these are renders of the actual production sculpts, then this pretty much proves that it is the paint apps that are hurting the sculpts.
I'm not sure which is the proto and which is the prod but I definitely prefer the bottom one.
The top one reminds me of "Rocky" at the end of his bout with Apollo Creed...
