To this day, no one has come close to topping the sculpt of the 1/4 NECA. The body proportions are perfect. But NECA is still a more mass produced figure and lower price means lower paint. Mezco's new figure is pretty good mixed media but it too lacks a quality paint. I'm still eagerly awaiting...

Four weeks have now come and gone and Mezco still hasn't shipped.

I think I could have ordered this from eBay and gotten before Mezco even ships. Not sure why it's taking them so long.

For me, having them side by side, I would choose Mezco even with the slightly enlarged head and missing paint. Looks more like a guy in a suit than NECA. As great as NECA stuff is, it always seems cheap looking to me. The mixed media of Mezco is why I wanted it in the first place. And in that...

Yeah I agree. The torso on the Mezco looks to be a little short but the bulk of it looks right I think.

Paint is incomplete but the more I see of this figure the more excited to get it.

I wonder if they specs this too low on the price point and so with all of the delays they had to make up the difference someplace and removed one of the paint steps. It really looks like they just remove the paint step of the dark layer. All of the other parts are painted almost like underpaint.

I'm ok with it. Seems like an ok base at the very least. I would have prefer they skipped the light gimic for one more pass on the paint. Never have cared for lights. It looks like they missed the dark layer pass on the body paint. They head is a little on the big side but not that bad. I think...

I think it's workable. I don't have any 1:6 anymore and I'm not a fan of NECAs stuff so having a base that I can tweak, is fine for me. Just wish Mezco would send it. All of these have been crappy photos anyway. Would rather judge it in hand. It's paid for so my decision has been determined already.

Well the paint sucks. Unfortunate. Body looks good though. Guess I'll be repainting.

Well given the holidays, this probably isn't going out this week either.

Still nothing from Mezco. Paid in full when I placed the order and still nothing.
