Exactly, I was thinking the same. At least then you can make it large enough for the trooper (or several troopers which I plan on) to stand on it as well, then they are all on one level. Also looks way more impressive. I wonder if anyone has made a larger custom base for the SS Dewback ?

Best to check out Regan's video of the real thing without any blogger photoshopping etc. Seems there are blue tinges here and there. The cape also seems to be a bluish hue. Here's the full video.

Yeah, I saw that too. Hate when they do that. Why give the figure a stand then ? It can't be used without having a weird height difference.

Kinda weird they didn't re-released the Part 2 versions of the figures. That jacket colour looked so out of place when standing by itself, but with the car it fits a lot better.

Sure perhaps not standard, but seems to be a tactic they have been using recently. Other smaller distributors also simply use the straight up method of having a cutoff date for pre-orders. Kit does this. But SS is in a different position of course.

I'd say they just take a loss. There are many where I've thought "really" you're going to make that which literally no one was asking for. 1). Hellboy 2). Those artistic versions of IronMan the list goes on. God knows, they make a killing on simpler figures like Star Wars troopers etc. so...

Sure, it leads to the same outcome. Forcing people to order through FOMO. Don't forget it's a business here as well. Hot Toys or SS won't sit there and do nothing if pre-orders are low. They need to cover their basic costs as well.

Just their standard FOMO tactic. Hot Toys doesn't say we're making "x". It all depends on pre-orders. So SS is trying to force pre-orders. No doubt because they are low. It's no different to someone here making a run of a custom xyz. You want people to pre-order so you know how much materials...

True, but I've also seen crap trailers which have been crap movies. At least this has potential out of the gate and deserves the benefit of the doubt for now. Looks more like Dune and other Sci-Fi than Star Wars. Except for the lightsabers of course :-) Of course it's got the amazing visuals...

Yes. An average of the two would be perfect. However perhaps InArt are sticklers for screen accuracy. People will complain either way I guess. But a little larger than what they currently have would look better and more proportional imo

Thanks. Yeah Rhodey didn't get a gig unfortunately. None of the armours looked decent to me, then they also got so expensive. So decided to skip him. But yes, definitely at the limit of how many I want. Just sorely need a Drax. But again let down by Hot Toys there.
