  1. Chronos1919

    Marvel Video Games

Hot damn that looks good. Graphically, at least. Looks like a made for TV film. Might sound like a diss but it seems to be a leap in graphical quality. Very interested to see how this turns out.

Hot Toys Black Widow - Black Suit

How would Iron Man #5,000 be able to sell? Or any other of the many redundant figures that Hot Toys makes? A bit reductive to call her "Malibu Stacy." She was a core member of the Avengers and a favorite for many fans. Not to mention fans of the actress in general. I'm sure a reworked figure...

    Queen Studios: 1/3 MCU Hulk

While interesting, it seems quite gimmicky and unnecessary. The price is already so high, no need to complicate the engineering and drive it up further. And, really, for what? So each collector can determine for themselves if the arms are at an angle of 15 degrees or 25? I'd rather just have a...

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS281 - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure

I had the AoU version but didn't like the body. The kneepads didn't align properly and the legs always looked off to me. I do like the vibrant colors on the outfit though. For my money, Endgame Cap is the best though it's not a terribly high bar (yet):

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Such a great film. As a Star Wars fan, nowadays, one has to pretty much create their own head canon with the handful of movies and shows that were competently put together. Everything else can (and should) be forgotten.
  6. Chronos1919

    Queen Studios: 1/3 MCU Hulk

I'm tempted. Both Iron Man and Hulk look great. I'm in the same boat though. I'm hesitant without knowing if Cap, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are definites. It's strange that the starting line-up is three NY Avengers.... and Scarlet Witch. How does that line up? If that was their plan you would...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

People aren't just reacting poorly to a single, two-minute trailer. They've become disillusioned by a slew of ****y new entries into the Star Wars cinematic universe that have all been ruined by the same idiotic choices that many assume will plague this latest entry. It's hard not to be negative...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Representation has been the primary goal and the actual import things, like story, have taken a back seat. I never said that representation didn't matter. Nor did I say that I can't enjoy a show without white men. Some baseless assumptions there, mate.
  9. Chronos1919

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

It's not exactly a reach. People that look like that tend to fit a certain profile. I'm willing to give the show a chance, though I have my doubts. Also, we're not talking about a movie/show having a "majority of white men." It's pretty frequent now that there's not a white man to be seen...

1/6 Hot Toys - HONŌ STUDIO - Marvels X-Men - Wolverine Action Figure

Funny that the exposed joints figure had wider briefs. They covered the joints and shrunk his undies.
  11. Chronos1919

Hot Toys Wonder Woman (WB 100)

I purchased one on the aftermarket and had to return it. The one I received was missing the lasso hook on one side of her harness. The factory accidentally manufactured it with two non-hook pieces so both sides looked identical. Guess I'll wait for the InArt version...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Doesn’t seem so bad to me. They’re giving you options. Either attempt the fix yourself, if you’re comfortable with it or send it in for repair. Or, you could argue with them some more and see if they’ll replace it.
  13. Chronos1919

1/6 Hot Toys -TMS117 - Ahsoka series: Marrok

That’s when I went all-in on the line. Marrok just didn’t have enough presence on his own, in the show. I like the character design but he didn't stand out on screen.
  14. Chronos1919

1/8 GONG - Lightyear - Buzz Lightyear Collectible Figure

Fantastic. Missed out on it the first time around (I wasn’t even aware it existed). Was struggling to find one on the aftermarket for anywhere near retail and from a trusted source.
  15. Chronos1919

    InArt: 1/6 Superman (Cavill)

Value/worth are subjective. If the quality, likeness, realism, etc. are better then those with sufficient funds and interest will be satisfied with the purchase. Personally, I would rather have a handful (or even just one) figure that I truly admire than a large array of figures that are...
  16. Chronos1919

    Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

    It's a ****.
  17. Chronos1919

    InArt: 1/6 Superman (Cavill)

Hard to say until JND has actually released a sixth scale figure. I’m not impressed enough by the proto images but curious to see if in-hand pics of their final production pieces will change my mind.
  18. Chronos1919

1/6 Hot Toys - HONŌ STUDIO - Marvels X-Men - Wolverine Action Figure

I just hope they use a large/beefy enough body. My disappointment with HT Endgame Thor and SS comic Thor was the tiny bodies they used.
  19. Chronos1919

1/6 Hot Toys - HONŌ STUDIO - Marvels X-Men - Wolverine Action Figure

I ordered but that's an issue I have as well. Hopefully production improves it or there's an easy mod or 3rd party solution. Detracts from an otherwise great looking figure.
  20. Chronos1919

1/6 Hot Toys Avengers: Endgame - 1/6th scale Loki Collectible Figure

That looks fantastic. nice work! Far better than the likeness on the head sculpt this came with.
