I watched it for the second time the other night and loved it even more. This time I paid extra attention to clues and noticed a trail of smoke shooting off towards the left of the screen away from the mushroom cloud. I think the shot of batman in the cockpit with 5 seconds remaining was him...

I was pretty bummed with how batman would just willingly give up the cowl just to have a nice life. But now the more I think of it as Nolan's own interpretation of the batman universe and try and put the comic lore aside I'm beginning to feel ok about it. I'm 100% with you on points 1,3,5 and...

But yeah I'm not fussed either way if he did or not.

Overall I really enojoyed the film and thought it was epic, after having such low expectations. Bane was better than expected and so was Catwoman..well Selena anyway. But after letting it digest I feel a little let down by the ending. Despite all that I'm looking forward to my second viewing...
