    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I liked the first season. Haven't seen the second or third yet.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Never seen sculpted clothing look this realistic. Credit where it's due, the outfit is extremely impressive.

    JND/Kojun Works - 1/6 Harry Potter Line

The light shining through would actually hide more detail than if it bounced off the material (like it would with something opaque). That's why the PVC Hermione appears to have a sharper sculpt. Human skin is slightly translucent so you get subsurface scattering, where the light is absorbed a...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Original didn't have arms. The one in the second film did.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Is it possible to swap the cowl and cape onto the old body and suit? Do they plug in the same?

The Sideshow PF has even deeper cuts between the torso muscles. But credit where it's due, it is smooth.

Prime 1 Studio offering custom paint effects options

According to Johnny, this can be a way for customers to get blood on statues where the licensor has previously placed a restriction. I dunno, thoughts? Maybe it's because we haven't seen this from a mass-production studio, but the move seems desperate to me. Wonder how they're doing financially.

More details: https://www.prime1studio.com/news/effect-options-now-available.html Imagine your statue, with armor splattered in blood, capturing the drama of battle or adorned with the beauty of a snowy landscape. A new service to bring your imagination to life, "Effect Options," available...

Hot Toys Predator: Jungle Hunter 2.0

:lol I think it's something we all felt the effect of, but couldn't place. I didn't consciously realize what it was until Prime 1 recreated that expression. Normally I'm not a fan of companies using other collectibles as reference (and Prime 1's Jungle Predator is a bit too stocky from some...

Hot Toys Phantom Menace Jar Jar Binks

This figure looks stupidly good, better than the CG character. The teeth, the skin textures, everything is so well done.

Hot Toys Predator: Jungle Hunter 2.0

He did indeed. The mask appears to fit lopsided on KPH's face, so his right eye sits high in the socket compared to the left. In some shots, it looks like the right contact is also rotated a bit higher than the other. I always thought it made him look creepier.

Hot Toys Predator: Jungle Hunter 2.0

Ooh, it would be great to be able to capture his wonky eye. I think one of the sockets would actually have to sit slightly higher than the other for the full effect, though. They could be subtle with it, a millimeter difference, no more.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Speaking of the cowl texture, I love how the surface of the new one actually looks uneven. Check out the clavicle area or the side of the head. Even without the rough texture on top, the planes of the head and neck aren't perfectly flat or streamlined. It's got a slightly lumpy, handmade look to...

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

I didn't have a problem with the DX09 when I had it, but after your comparison, I can't stop fixating on how poorly fitted the mouth plates are. I prefer the cowl texture on the new one, but the body texture of the old. The clincher is the new one's realism and less-exaggerated lips.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Sorry if this has been asked before, but was the suit really that rough in the movie? I feel like the noisy texture on the body is too exaggerated, or at the very least too large.
