PCS: Army of Darkness - 1:4 Ash Williams

People on Facebook are saying it looks like Tucker Carlson and now I can't unsee it.

    PCS Conan 1/2 scale statue

Gallery updated for the regular: https://collectpcs.com/conan-pcs-deluxe/#/ Still a few photos of the previous version at the start, but most are new. Starting to think the regular might be the way to go on this. His upper body is so over-bulked that it almost needs the baggier pants to...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Not sure if this was posted yet: Enjoyable interview. Fede Alvarez's fandom definitely comes through and he's clearly more thoughtful and imaginative than, say, the brothers who directed AVP-R (which I'm only mentioning because they also came to their project as fans making the kind of movie...

Could be, but the standalone Badlands is already to be helmed by Trachtenberg. Unsure if Prey 2 will be directed by him as well.

I just wish they gave us at least a couple of diagonal or horizontal tendons on the mouth. Right now it looks like pulling apart a stuffed crust pizza. Actually, even melted cheese has more variation in the thickness of the strands.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

The facehuggers start to wise up before Andy tells them to run. Everything you listed slowly gets them suspicious until booking it becomes more effective than keeping up the previous strategy. Also, not that it bugs me too much, but one possible reason the facehugger in the first film latches...

"Most of the guys my mom hung around with were geeks, but there was this one guy. He was kinda cool. He taught me engines. Mom screwed it up, of course. She'd always tell him about the Queen and Jim Cameron being as brilliant a designer as he is a director... that'd be all she wrote."

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

All great points. I also appreciate that the Alien was made more invincible and that the AI was an obstacle rather than the core of the story. And I don't think the bizzare human/engineer/hybrid creature would've been as offensive if Romulus was the first sequel to Alien we got. The only thing...

I'm not saying he's right. I'm saying that's what his movie says. 🤷‍♂️

Isn't the premise that humans are genetically engineers? They came to Earth and made us?

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Credit where it's due, this movie has a great looking chestburster. SWS pulled the edges of the mouth a bit further back in Aliens and ADI pulled them even more in Resurrection through AVP-R until it looked like a dinosaur. Romulus' Chestburster is excellent. Like an evil little larval cherub...

They did? Deadpool is a fourth wall-breaking meta comedy, it's built into the character.

I noticed that too. It's not like that for most of the film, they actually brought back the rhythmic drumming from Covenant for a number of scenes. It worked well.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Aw, c'mon. It wasn't that bad. In retrospect, even the thing at the end is nothing new really. I only dislike it because I thought we were done with that stuff. As the dust settles, I find myself more offended by the quotes. Particularly Andy's, it was totally unnatural.

I forget, was it ever implied that the Company expected those kids to fly up and snoop around? Then again it was due for collision with the asteroid belt in less than two days. It must have drifted there from elsewhere in space.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was. And if there hadn't been, it would've happened eventually.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Man, I thoroughly enjoyed Andy as a character. Both versions of him. Question, though: why was it in the Company's interest for Kay to inject herself with the fluid? We knew it wouldn't end well because we saw what became of the "healed" rat as the characters left the lab. So I have to imagine...
