    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Sorry to hear. Do you think it was a cinema issue or the movie in general? I thought it looked quite good.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Bananas as these are, they're so flippin' cool and I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen anything like this in an Alien movie yet. We get the Dog in the third one and that's it for animal-born xenos, but Ridley Scott's black goo gets featured in three films?

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

Alien: Romulus - 6/10 Would've been a solid 7 without the throwback quotes and... Thankfully most of that crops up in the third act. I would've actually preferred if the film was more paint by numbers like people originally thought; the one moment they tried to do something new, they did the...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I love her character in the third one. It's not a rosy ending at all, but it's believable given how oppressive her world is. And Weaver plays it wonderfully. However angry folks were that Alien 3 invalidated Aliens, that's how disappointed I was that Resurrection invalidated Alien 3.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I will say this movie felt competent at least. The filmmakers definitely aimed lower than Prometheus and even Covenant, but stuck the landing better than those. Ooh, I'd be down. Maybe some Kenner nods.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

SPOILERS AHEAD! I actually prefer the Newborn from Resurrection, the design was better defined and the logic behind its existence made at least a shred of sense. This black goo is the laziest plot device in recent memory. Enough with Scott, his goo, and his engineers. The man ruined his...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

They really ought to make anthology series for both Alien and Predator. Or something like True Detective, where it's a different story each season.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Don't remember if I've posted this here, but I believe the original Alien movies are really the Ripley movies. Alien may have given us a great monster, but Aliens gave us a great character and that's been a huge part of the franchise's relevance. Dutch from Predator is played by Arnold...

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Isn't it, though? The Hot Toys 2.0 figure is waitlisted everywhere, Prime 1's 1/3 statue is sold out and they've already announced a 1/2 version. Seems to me '89 Bats is hot.

    Kraven the Hunter

Don't forget Robert Eggers' Nosferatu. There's been so little news for Kraven, I thought it had been cancelled.

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I wasn't crazy about the Predator design in Prey, but the movie defibrillated a franchise that was very near death and for that, I'm grateful. Couldn't believe how much love a Predator film was getting in 2022, even from casual viewers.

Prime 1 / Blitzway: The Matrix - 1/3 Neo (Keanu Reeves)

Really surprised they've not included an M16 so we can recreate the DVD cover. I'm still game at this price, but the rifle would have been the ultimate cherry on top. How many of us had this image embedded into our brains growing up?

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

I think Predator is more interesting than Alien as a character. Simply by being what he is, he contributes a lot of plot, which makes his movies easier to write. You can take the Predator, drop him into any time period or setting and hit "play," whereas Alien needs a compelling human story built...

    *BEWARE SPOILERS* Alien: Romulus

Three more days. I don't need it to be amazing, but if it gets the franchise back on track like Prey did, I'll be happy.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Hard disagree. Hot Toys is slow and their licenses few (at least the ones they act on), but between Howard's competitiveness and newcomers like InArt and JND entering the fold, the stage is set for better Keatons to keep coming. As is the case for Terminator and a number of other iconic...

    TRON 3: ARES

Nine Inch Nails to score the film. Holy hell, I'm excited. Bring the edge.

    Movie Heroes Per Decade?

I think Sparrow had more mainstream appeal than Neo. Part of that was due to rating and merchandising, but let's be honest, he's also more lovable.
