    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Great pic! It really gives the feeling that HT realized that the only faceplate that worked was the bloody so they tried to make a sort of suit mixed between standard and battle damaged… This finish is so weird… But once again great pic!

As said previously by Solidus the car is way more photogenic and evocative under shadow rather than direct sunlight. And we know that lenses can completely change perception of colors. I still think out of direct sunlight it works very well. The rims are pretty dark. Like the turbine which is...

Prime 1 is always tricky concerning some of their final products. It could be « hit or miss »…

Forget the issues of the test batch but just look at the curves and paint job, looks like absolutely the real car miniaturized in 1/6. Incredible.

it’s undoubtedly Keaton, no problem but I still see more Returns vibes than 89 IMO. Don’t know if it’s the cowl or mouth… Maybe the cowl lacks of thickness, it’s too sharp.

Seriously concerning the DX09, this is the worst close up ever made to disqualify a figure… Even being not perfect or cartoony for certains, it will always looks like Keaton so much more than the 2.0 IMO…

    DX09 belt was also removable.

Maybe the reviewer did not engaged fully the canopy…?

I think close to this: Still rougher than HT cockpit. (I liked by the way)

I think this green color is due to the lenses of the camera.

I agree with you for the gun bullets missing the gold effect and the side hook which can’t stay properly in the fire mode. In an other hand, HT interverted the right machine gun position. I also agree that the HT cockpit is one of the best part of the car. Really well done. But I also feel they...

Yeah the 89 cowl is goofier and rougher but it gives it all its charm. The 1/4 Neca completely nailed it IMO.

I still see more Returns in this cowl/sculpt…🤔

The car on your photo is from Returns and not 89 with black rims, black air intakes and black gas caps. The car used in 89 definitely gets these gold/bronze/aluminium color on the rims. 100% accurate IMO.

This is maybe the pettiest and laziest detail about this figure. They reused the old DX09 stand where you could put batteries to light up and simply sealed the compartment…

strangely, i see more Batman Returns in this sculpt rather 89… The unreal makes me think to a 3D render of a 89 video game on this shot. Maybe my eyes are too trained with DX09 but even with all its flaws and accuracies, I still immediately see Keaton. It simply sweats 89 Keaton IMO.
