InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Wow, great price! Mine arrived last night as well. Just did a quick inspection of parts, everything looked good so far. Will dedicate some time today to properly unbox him.

1/6 Batman: TAS figures coming from Mondo...

Thanks for posting! I think this looks pretty cool, but unfortunately I don't like him as much as I hoped I would. I was particularly interested in the venom overload look, but specifically combined with the angry face. It's a bummer they didn't include a shot of that combination, assuming it's...

    1/6 Hot Toys - VGM62/62B - StarWars Legends : Darth Revan

I think both of these releases look great, but I was also surprised by the lack of hands for both this (6) and Starkiller (5). I hate it when companies do this, it limits you so much in posing.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I just received exactly said email ("updqted to complete" and tracking number) a few hours ago. It's happening!

I'm in the same boat, and that's what I'm assuming is going on. I've been waiting so long that a few more days of uncertainty won't make a difference anyway though. :lol

Made another mock-up for test fitting. The teeth are just painted with a black marker to get an idea of the look. I'm already liking how the greater depth and actual separate layers create more shadows and contrast depending on the angle.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

Ooh I didn't know about the different body on Rogue one, thanks for the info! So it seems HT uses a different body every time it's not Prowse in costume?

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

With all this talk about the aftermarket prices, I just paid off my remaining balance early. No way am I accidentally missing the invoice once he comes in stock. :lol I can already see it happening that he arrives in stock the day I go on a two week vacation in June.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

Yeah I assume so. On my custom I dremeled down the lats, sides and inner triceps for exactly this purpose. I also shaved down the chest and shoulder bells/deltoids since he was too big overall. But that's because I am using true 1:6 dimensions, whereas HT's parts are about 10% oversized, so...

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

For the customizers out there, it's quite interesting to see that HT is using a different body on this Vader. As far as I know this is the first time they changed it up, all other Vaders used the other one. Kenobi body (picture courtesy of toyanxiety): Original body (picture courtesy of...

    Hello from Onesixthkit

Can anybody here remind me again how it works when we want to pay off a pre-order early? Do I simply reply to my order confirmation mail with a request to pay it off early?

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

No way back now... It's still a bit rough around the edges, but that will all be sanded, filled, sculpted etc. by the end. I'm aiming for an ESB look, so the HT chin vent was too big.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

June 18th here... I'm hoping the next batch kit gets will finish the January orders and start tapping into the June orders (or was there another opening in between?). It sucks we have to wait this long, but I'm just grateful I was able to pre-order one at the original price at all. When this...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Thanks, guys! I guess I'm going all in with this. I also want to replace the "tubes" on the sides if possible since the HT ones quite are inaccurate and of course broken up because of the split helmet. I'll glue the helmet shut so I can put proper ones. Just need to figure out what I can use...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

Before dremeling out the mouth, I wanted to make sure I can actually make better teeth. I made this size chart a few years ago, which greatly helped now. I have styrene of different thicknesses, so I tried different versions. I'll have to study some more movie stills to see which thickness I'll...

    Agonistes' Star Wars customs

I haven't made much progress on my diorama since my last update, but to get my creative juices flowing again, I continued working on my 1:4 Vader. So far I padded the chest and lats, made a new inner robe and modified the outer robe. The firstbshot is where he's currently at. I still wasn't...

1/6 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - 1/6th scale Darth Vader 40th Anniversary

Agreed, I've given up hope in HT giving us movie accurate (scaled and detailed) helmets. And as you said, scaling everything from HT (and SS) to actual 1:6 size and to match the kaiyodo parts is so much work, but it's SO worth the effort. ;)
