    Prime1 Giger Alien (Big Chap)

I think it's worth saying again, that his design wasn't intended to be seen under bright lighting, highly detailed, etc. This creature lurks in the shadows/is stealthy/mysterious, etc., blending in with its surroundings when it can. So I think a distinction can be made between wanting a...

    Prime1 Giger Alien (Big Chap)

This comes in kit form: are you having it painted as well?

    Prime 1/Blitzway - Terminator 2 T-800 endoskeleton 1/3

So the Deluxe Bonus Version includes the swap-out head with chrome teeth, and is $240 more than the standard Deluxe. That's a lot for a spare 1/3 scale head.

1/4 Hot Toys - QS - Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark VI Collectible Figure

This is a great point: the head, hands, sometimes whole arms are designed to be popped off and swapped. This is why batteries are the only current solution. But boy do they die quickly. I was going to run a test once, to see how long I could leave them on (to determine if it was worth it to...

1/4 Hot Toys - QS - Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark VI Collectible Figure

Couldn't agree more. All the different small batteries, removing pieces to access the switches, plus the fact that those little batteries don't last very long anyway...these Iron Man figs are begging for a longer term solution, like USB or external battery pack containing higher capacity...

    Prime1 Giger Alien (Big Chap)

That's how the V1 heads look.

1/4 Hot Toys - QS - Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark VI Collectible Figure

I wonder, does that mean the 1/6 scale are overpriced, or that the 1/4 scale are a bargain? If I had to guess, I'd say the demand for 1/6 is greater (more popular size/lower total cost/lower space requirement), and thus the 1/6 are priced higher as a result.

1/4 Hot Toys - QS - Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark VI Collectible Figure

Preorder now available at Sideshow. Expected ship date: years from now. 🙄

    Prime 1 - Alien Warrior 1/3

@Rotfish Nice, thanks for mentioning that, I had no idea. I'm an Alien franchise collector first & foremost, so this is hugely intriguing for me. Have they mentioned anything on FB or wherever? I want pics! :D Oh, and case in point about long-*** preorders, I placed my order for the Prime 1...

    Prime 1 - Alien Warrior 1/3

100%. I feel they’d sell more statues this way as well, taking advantage of said hype. I’ve held off on countless preorders only to eventually lose interest and never purchase; had they been available (relatively) immediately, they’d have made that sale.

    Prime 1 - Alien Warrior 1/3

I hear you man. I cannot stand the way companies release a prototype to generate hype and excitement and then...two-plus years later they finally release the production run (piecemeal, no less). Few people here, few people there. This random country, that random country. Meanwhile you paid...

TOMY Prestige Select Die-cast 1/350 Scale Enterprise Replica

@Kebron and @1138sw both make good points. A search for 'sold' TOMY Enterprise pieces shows they are indeed fetching these prices. But it is still the case that for the $1500 price point, you can in fact have a gorgeously painted and lit Refit. I picked up this piece in that price range. But...

Queen Studios: Iron Man Mark 7 1/3

I caved and preordered the Battle Damage Mark7. I’ll be sure to dust off this thread and post some pics when they finally ship these in Q4 2027 and I’ve completely forgotten about the fact that I ever ordered it in the first place. I’ll be like, “What in the hell are these two giant boxes on my...

This exactly. Enterprise from Wrath of Khan and a Reliant would be insta-purchases for many collectors.

    1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 650D46/651 - Star Wars Episode II: AOTC - C3PO & R2D2 Collectible Figures

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS664-D48 - Iron Man - Iron Man Mark 3 (2.0 For Real This Time!)

Damn dude, nice work. I love that this was brought up here and the actual creator of that media was on the thread, haha. Nice work.

Queen Studios: Iron Man Mark 7 1/3

To give you all a different perspective on scale, my 1:2 scale Mark 7 is 39 & 3/4 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of his head. This new 1:3 scale Mark 7 is 35 inches from bottom of the base to the tip of the head, which means the head of the 1:3 scale would come to just under the...

Queen Studios: Iron Man Mark 7 1/3

Re pricing, it’s definitely a fine line…$2k is squarely into the 1:2 scale arena. I paid $2k for my Sideshow 1:2 scale Mark 7 (albeit that was a hundred years ago AND let’s not forget about inflation). However, the battle damaged piece here is pretty intricate, and those bases are legit. Some...
