I could see myself sacrificing the future resale of this item and forcefully removing the figure from the base, pinning the feet, and mounting it to a small simple square base, then surrounding the entire thing in an acrylic case just like the Sano Alien.

This is EXACTLY why I hesitate ordering directly from P1. Sideshow has been very fair in my interactions with them in the past regarding damage, etc. Curious to see how P1 would handle such a thing. Also, I'm wondering if the shipping charges would differ, buying from P1 versus SSC? Anyone...

The fact that they're on sale from Prime 1 currently, and are not being shown on Sideshow's site, does this mean SSC won't be distributing these? And OMG, they're giving the option to hang this monstrosity on the wall?! Tips the scales at just under 70 lbs!

Mine arrived. I love it. A completely unique take on the Aliens, refreshing and a job well done, IMHO. Mixes things up with all the other 'true to form' versions.
