I assume Padme stock will arrive with Vader and some other HT figures. That's unfortunately what always happens so you end up paying for multiple figures simultaneously. I think I had to pay off around 3-4 figures at once in one December. It's a terrible set up.

Here's another quick comparison I did. I photoshopped some changes onto the Hot Toys, namely how the mouth smiles, the eyes etc.: Again, it's obviously not a perfect edit, it's just to capture the current issues. But hopefully this demonstrates the "cartoony" look the current Hot Toy...

The problem is the smile is too wide, the promo shot is deceptive. The way they've sculpted the mouth is too extreme. I've photoshopped the image to expose more of the detail of the mouth and its clear whats happened is they've misinterpreted the shadows for the length of his open mouth...

I did this photoshop a while back on the prototype where I made the lips darker and the whites of the eyes more pronounced, in the hope that maybe the final version might make similar tweaks. It's a shame they didn't bother to at least tweak the paint apps from announce to release. I mean...

Yeah the smile is way too over the top. He looks more like the Joker. He's also not fat enough in the face. It's all a bit too much, which is a shame because they nailed the last couple Palpatine sculpts.
